1st half we were crap. very poor.
2nd half we were much better and our workrate was much improved. my biggest worry is where we will get our goals from. Alan Lee works his socks off but he is not a natural goalscorer. we rely too heavily on our midfield to score. personally with the situation we are now in i would like to switch to 4-4-2 and get someone playing off of Lee, even if its Butterfield. |

there could be more trouble ahead... Quote:
Crystal Palace will have to pay an unforeseen one-off charge of £1m on their ground next month. It is understood that the administrator in charge of the freehold of the ground, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC), has rejected calls from its counterpart overseeing the club for the charge – effectively a deferred payment from when the previous owner, Simon Jordan, signed up to the lease – to be waived. full report
Because the administrator, Brendan Guilfoyle, of P&A Partners, is working on a tight budget to see the club through to the end of the season, the payment on top of the £1.2m a year rent could prove pivotal. |

I would say it will more than just "help". Of course that probably means there's now more reason for Guilfoyle to get rid of Warnock. |

It's not exactly as "unexpected" as they say is it? The administrator already knows about it and even discussed it at the meeting with the Trust a while back.
I'm sure he suggested it had been waived though, so who knows what's going on. |

i just hope come march 12th we actually do have a few genuine parties interested in buying the club and that they have the money to back that up. if not, and it turns out to be speculation and heresay, we're screwed. |

36 interested parties, the vast majority of those will be time-wasters. i think there will be about 3 genuine parties who have the money that will make formal bids. then on march 12th one of them will get prefered bidder status and hopefully the fans won't be in the dark as much. the worst thing about all of this is having to be patient. |

Sky Sports News understands QPR are close to agreeing a compensation deal with Crystal Palace for manager Neil Warnock. Link
Rangers approached their London rivals' administrators last week to ask for permission to speak to the Eagles boss, who said he would not leave the club unless a financial package was agreed to suit the Selhurst Park outfit. Mick Harford is currently holding the reins at Loftus Road after being named as their fourth manager in a turbulent season. Rangers, however, have made no secret of their desire to install Warnock as their new boss. The 61-year-old has had a difficult 12 months at Selhurst Park, which culminated in the club being placed into administration in January. A 10-point deduction has left Warnock fighting to keep Palace in the Championship after initially challenging for a play-off place, while star man Victor Moses was sold to Wigan in the transfer window. |

Gone. Over. Finished.
![]() Oh well, I don't even feel that emotional about it/him to be honest. The big question is who we get now. |

Very disappointed. I had hoped he would stay until the end of the season at the very least. Guilfoyle needs to act fast or our Championship survival bid will be in tatters.

Warnock did a good job for us but good riddance to him.
i'm more worried about losing any players. Neil Danns today is being heavily linked to a loan move to Swansea. that would be a bigger blow. lots of names being linked to the managers job, all short term until the end of the season. Steve Coppell Gareth Southgate Iain Dowie Mark Bright & Ian Wright Alan Curbishley Gary Megson |

I'd prefer it to be Coppell. He knows the club inside out and back to front and he would have the supporters behind him 100%. We need an impact manager with only 14 games to go and Coppell fits the bill IMO.

Please no Gary Megson.
I wouldnt mind Dowie back as we survived with him before with his bounce back ability, even if he did annoy Jordan when he went to Charlton. |

Would Dowie have the backing of the fans? I know there are still alot who have bitter feelings for him. That wouldn't be the case with Coppell.
Megson would just be odd. |

Matt Lawrence has spoken to the South London Press about Warnock's exit: Quote:
MATT Lawrence has admitted that Neil Warnock's decision to quit Crystal Palace has not come as a shock.
The 61-year-old manager has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal at QPR after the two clubs agreed a compensation package earlier today. And Lawrence says it is a "real shame" that Warnock's spell in charge at Palace is at an end. He told the South London Press: "I can honestly say that from the word go, even when I was out in the wilderness for four or five months, that he is one of the best managers I've ever worked with. I'm not saying that because I want a move to QPR - it's not going to happen - I say it because I loved playing for him. "It has been coming for 10-14 days. Neil insinuated his farewells on Saturday. It wasn't done and dusted but it was pretty obvious it was going to be concluded. "It is an awful shame what happened at Palace. The ex gaffer didn't want to go but his hand was forced by the administrator because they are getting decent compensation. "I might be talking out of turn, and I apologise if I am, but the administrators aren't really so bothered about the football situation - hence their title. They are just looking to make the club financially viable and find a new owner. "It is just a real shame that the club went into administration, lost 10 points and then lost one of the best managers they've had in the last decade or two. The fans may want Steve Coppell, Iain Dowie or whoever else - but I don't think anyone can look much further than Neil Warnock." |
