^ Damn, I was hoping it would be sooner than that.

Our fixture against West Brom has been moved from Saturday 24th April to Monday 26th April and will now be televised live on Sky. The game will kick off at 8pm.

i would have thought the QPR clash would have had
more appeal to Sky as a live game.

another big game tonight against bristol city.
i'm hoping we get some kind of justice for the way we were cheated back in the reverse fixture earlier in the season.

Oh yes, this one means a hell of a lot to me. We owe them and especially their manager after what happened and how they reacted.

Fingers crossed.

Going to be tough tonight. This has somewhat become a grudge match. Be interesting to see if its an unchanged line-up from Saturday.

They're in crap form, their best player's injured and their fans are unhappy with the manager - everything points to a win for us!

Which makes me very nervous.

There is one change from the starting XI that beat Sheffield United on Saturday as Claude Davis misses out through suspension and Matt Lawrence is brought in to replace him.

Neil Danns has recovered sufficiently from his back injury to warrant a place on the bench.

1. Julian Speroni, 2. Nathaniel Clyne, 3. Clint Hill, 4. Shaun Derry (cpt), 7. Darren Ambrose, 10. Nick Carle, 17. Matt Lawrence, 18. Calvin Andrew, 19. Alan Lee, 20. Danny Butterfield, 22. Johnny Ertl

Subs: 8. Neil Danns, 9. Stern John, 14. Sean Scannell, 15. Lee Hills, 21. Kieran Djilali, 33. Alassane N'Diaye, 35. Charlie Mann

Let's hope the second 45 is an improvement.

Full-time: Palace 0-1 Bristol City

Terrible result. Gutted right now, didn't think we would lose this one. We are in deep, deep trouble.

this is the first time I have questioned whether we have
what it takes to stay up. we just don't have enough goals
in this team. we don't have a striker that is capable of scoring
on a regular basis and with 12 games left the one thing we need
if we are to survive is goals.
our problems are huge. tonight was one of those matches where
we should have been getting 3 points if we have any genuine chance
of survival. instead we got nothing. the only bit of good news was
that sheff wed lost also, but this was our chance to give ourselves
some breathing space and we blew it big time.

That really was pretty poor wasn't it?

There's just no width at all and no attacking ideas.

suddenly getting to 50 points looks a long long way off this morning.

abysmal performance. i agree with tusk0312 when he asks where are the goals going to come from. we cannot keep relying on ambrose to get us out of jail. lee works hard but is not a natural goalscorer. andrew works hard but looks out of his depth alot of the time and i wouldn't bank on stern john suddenly becoming ian wright in his prime.

it all adds up to very worrying times ahead. 12 games to get this sorted. 12 games to get another 13/14 points. but when you look at our remaining fixtures and how we don't score enough goals its going to be massively difficult.

The lack of goals is a serious worry but we have seen recently (especially in the cup run) that when we raise our game the goals will come. We just have to raise our game for the league encounters which at the moment is very hit & miss. Our home form especially has gone right out the window and that needs to change immediately.

Looking at the table and the fixtures left for everyone at the bottom I feel that its very much going to be between ourselves, Scunthorpe and Sheff Wed for that final relegation spot.

Not sure about this one. When he was asked to deposit the funds to prove he was genuine about his interest in West Ham didn't he fail to do so?

Crystal Palace administrator Brendan Guilfoyle has ruled out selling the club to Cagliari president Massimo Cellino.

The Daily Mail says Cellino has been heavily linked with a takeover bid at the crisis-stricken south London club and reports in Italy have suggested he is 'very close to an agreement' to buy Palace.

But the 53-year-old Italian, who is president of Serie A club Cagliari, would face a huge fight to pass the Football League's fit and proper person test, having two previous suspended jail sentences for deception.

Guilfoyle said: "I want to talk to anyone who has the right intentions for this club. But after hearing about his convictions and the problems that would bring up with the fit and proper test then there doesn't seem much point."

He added: "We've had five interested parties in the club and we are pressing ahead to a conclusion as soon as we can. I'd rather not be here into the close season."

D-day approaches, then. Just keeping everything crossed that we do indeed get some genuine bidders by the 5pm deadline tomorrow. Hopefully Guilfoyle won't keep us waiting with any news for too long.

BG is certainly keeping things close to his chest.
still no concrete rumours on who may have made
a bid. so either no one has or everything has been
air-tight! i'm getting quite nervous over it all.

doubt we'll hear anything today anyway. wouldn't surprise me if all this talk of a deadline is a smokescreen. or maybe that's just the pessimist in me. you get that way being a palace fan lol
