When someone who obviously has been a major player and controversial figure speaks about a club you know nothing about really I like to hear frim true fans of that club to find out what the real situation is - so can any of you here help me out?
Perhaps you could give me a generalised view too by not only saying what you yourself think but also how Palace fans in general see Jordan and the situation the club is in now - I always hate it when a club is low in the league or even relegated due to matters off the field rather than results on it and it seems to me from a distance that you as Palace fans have had a real bad time due to matters completely out of your control - sad for you (honestly)”

Let's see, to start off with, the two main reasons we are in administration and the mess we're now in are Simon Jordan and a hostile creditor (Agilo). To Jordan's credit he had been trying to bring in investment for the club for ages but his big mistake was to turn to Agilo who specialises in ploughing money into “distressed companies” in an attempt to turn them round and secure a profit. We owed them £4.5m which Jordan claims was about to be paid back. However, when Agilo found out that HMRC would receive £2m ahead of them being paid back they forced us into administration so they could jump to the top of the club’s creditor queue.
Perhaps the biggest reason we were in debt in the first place was all down to Jordan. Back in 2006 he announced that he had purchased the freehold to Selhurst Park from Ron Noades for £12m, but it later transpired that the freehold had been bought by the company Selhurst Park Limited, which was owned by another company and that Jordan was paying a staggering £1.2m for rent (4 times what it was before under Noades) This had been crippling us ever since. The company that owned Selhurst then went into administration themselves and its now owned by Pricewaterhouse Coopers.
The majority of Palace fans (at least it seems to me) blame Jordan and don't think too kindly of him anymore. Some (including me) appreciate the hard work he put into the club for years but it's his mistakes and foolishness that put him in the position to turn to Agilo in the first place, something which should have never happened, especially if he didn't screw up the ownership of the ground.
He's also one of these blokes who tends to try and lay the blame at other parties instead of accepting blame himself. And this was a big reason as to why he couldn't get investment into the club - no one trusted him or liked him. Now, with him gone these potential investors are stepping forward.
As you mention the biggest sickener in all this is how despite all these off the field problems we were doing extremely well on the pitch and even pushing for a play-off spot. Now, because of the points deduction we are staring relegation into the third tier for the first time in 33 years right in the face.
