I think alot of what could happen there is down to Croydon Council. So far they have stated that Selhurst Park will remain a sports stadium and nothing else. However, they didn't say "football" stadium. This does put a small spanner in the works for PWC but not a major one. What we need is for the council to make it clear that Selhurst can only be used by Palace and force their hand but at this point they are not doing that.

If the worst happens and the ground is sold to a developer etc then the way I see it there would be two options for CPFC2010...

1) Groundshare (most likely with Charlton, Millwall or Fulham, assuming a deal could be agreed)

2) The consortium pulls out completely and with no ground, no money etc all remaining assets will be sold off and the club liquidated.

the whole ground issue is becoming worrying again. i know the saying is no news is good news but the fact everything has gone so quiet of late has me deeply concerned.

anyway, the fans have voted online for next season's kits. assuming there is a next season for us here is the winning home & away kit.

Love the away kit. Always will be a classic, that one.

Prefered the other home kit. I like wider stripes but the one chosen isn't too bad.

Let's hope we have a team to wear them next season!

at last the administrator has spoken:

Quote:
“Brendan Guilfoyle has revealed the proposed takeover of Crystal Palace is "delicately poised".

Almost three weeks have passed since a consortium of wealthy supporters known as CPFC 2010 were named as the club's preferred bidder.

Their offer to rescue the Eagles hinges on the successful acquisition of Selhurst Park, which is being sold by estate agents CB Richard Ellis behalf of administrators PricewaterhouseCoopers (PWC).

Guilfoyle confirmed the two parties were in deep negotiations but voiced concerns that PWC were playing hard-ball over the selling price.

"The stadium administrator seems to think they are in a rather comfortable position," he said. "I know they are in discussions with [CPFC 2010] but I don't know what the two parties are saying.

"It seems to me the logical thing for PWC to do would be to thrash out a deal with the group that are buying the club.

"Their only other options are to sell it to someone who continues to lease it back to the club, but I'm not sure how much longer the club could afford to pay the rent, certainly at the price it is.

"Or they sell it to a developer who waits five to 10 years to get granted planning permission."

Guilfoyle has stated that he will run out of money to keep Palace afloat at the end of the season. If the deal is not wrapped up near that time then first team players will have to be sold off to balance the books and severe cuts made across all areas of the football club. He admitted there is a chance such drastic action could be avoided if CPFC 2010 decide to inject some cash into the project.

But, so far, there has been little indication that they intend to put any money in until the issue of the stadium is resolved.

"There has been no real commitment that they plan to do that," said Guilfoyle. "They have lodged funds (£10million) but so far I haven't touched it and I don't imagine that they want to splash any more money around.

These guys are supporters, but they are serious businessmen too. Their whole business plan is centred around spending a lot of money on the stadium.

They believe the facilities are poor, the main stand is close to being condemned and they want to spend a lot of money doing up the ground to get more families back to Selhurst Park.

"But obviously to do this, they need to get hold of the stadium. Things are very delicately poised at the moment and the ball is in the court of the stadium's administrators."

CPFC 2010 spokesman David Jensen said: "Negotiations are ongoing. There are lots of things to go through, not only with the ground, although that remains top of the list. It is a major obstacle but hopefully not an insurmountable one.

"It is a very complicated and complex situation, but hopefully we will have some good news soon.

"The consortium are still aiming to save the club. As fans themselves they understand that this needs to be done as soon as possible, but unfortunately these things do take time."”

That still leaves me concerned about the whole thing but at least we know now what's going on.
I didn't realise they wanted to do up the ground!

No recognised striker up front in a game we must win just beggers belief.

lee and andrew are unfit but not sure why john isn't starting up front. it's yet another odd team selection from hart.

watford are losing.

We're gonna have to buck up our ideas for the next 45 or we can kiss goodbye to survival. Just another inept performance so far.
-Bandit-
17-04-2010
we need a point at worst today. first 45 was poor. no reaction from the qpr debacle at all. i'm not happy.

Watford go 3-down at Leicester.

Scunny now 2-up on Bristol City.
-Bandit-

Now Leicester 4 Watford 0, & Scunny 3 Bristol City 0.

Even a point would be ok for us now.

It's just so frustrating that Hart didn't start the match with a more attacking line-up. We were much more positive in the second half once we had an out & out striker on the pitch. Derby were there for the taking but it's Hart's negative tactics that have let us down once again.
Joooe

Huuuuge point. We can still do this!

I think I speak for everyone when I say come on Sheff Utd!!

couldn't agree more. hart really pisses me off sometimes.
we should have gone all out attack. what the hell have
derby got to play for?

i'm grateful for the point but this was two massive points
dropped.

i hope i'm wrong but i think sheff wed will win tomorrow

brom next weekend.
