i think speroni will win it but i'm inclined to go for ambrose as i always have a soft spot for someone who can score lots of goals and seeing as he did it all from midfield makes it an even better achievement.

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't have a problem with Ambrose winning it, but despite all the goals he has scored I don't think he has been as consistent as Speroni over the entire season.

the consortium have to meet 5 requirements to takeover palace, one of which is securing the ground. their intial bid for selhurst has been turned down by PWC but they are meeting again today to hopefully come to a compromise.
if CPFC2010 can secure the ground they can still take over the club & exit administration without a CVA but that would incur at least a 17 point deduction for next season.
if CPFC2010 cannot secure the ground the administrator's only real option left is to call in the liquidators.

I've been reading as much as I can and I just cannot believe the arrogance of this man. I disliked him before but now I despise him. He is utterly deluded and is without any decency, integrity or dignity.
So, it looks like the best case scenario for us could well be CPFC2010 taking over but exiting administration without a CVA. Then being hit with a minimum 17 point deduction for next season. Right now I would take that as at least we would still have our club.
Of course, if CPFC2010 cannot secure a deal for the ground very soon then none of the above matters as liquidation would be just around the corner.

I can only hope that Jordan has some sensible people around him that can advise him the only thing to do to save face is to accept the proposal. Anything else and he stands to get nothing at all.

The story I had heard was that over the heards he has taken money out of the club so that although he is owed money he has already got back all the money he invested in the past

Depends what rumour you believe. Some seem to think he wants more money. If he accepts 1p in the pound then he gets virtually nothing back.
Some say that he does not want CPFC2010 to takeover as Ron Noades is involved.
Personally I just think it's his ego. He knows he messed up big-time, that everything is his fault but instead of showing some dignity and integrity he wants to point the finger at others.
His lawyers need to point out to him that if he accepts the CVA he will at least get some money. By rejecting it or God forbid the club gets liquidated he gets nothing.
He needs to do the decent thing for the club and show the fans he still does care by accepting the CVA proposal. This will be perfect for his ego, too, as he can then go around saying it was his decision that saved the club.

I can already see the Supporters Trust and fans in general already galvanising themselves to try and put friendly pressure on Jordan and try and persuade him to do the right thing on the 3rd.

The Times seems to believe that Martin Long, one of the major players in CPFC2010, will pull out if Simon Jordan rejects a CVA. If that were to happen liquidation would be a virtual certainty.
