to me that sounds he is ready to blame other parties for the demise of Palace,
notably CPFC2010. he can still vote no and then say "what choice did i have when only
being offered 1p in the pound." that way it won't be his hand that did it.
he is a sly one that SJ. i don't trust him at all and don't believe anything he says. the
only way he can prove he cares for Palace is by accepting the CVA and going away
for good but i doubt very much that will happen.

Darren Ambrose now being linked with a move to QPR.

£750,000 is a piss take and warnock knows it. whats worse is that it was him that whinged when wolves made that paltry offer for clyne in the january transfer window and now here he is doing exactly the same!

I think if we sell anyone before the CVA meeting then that would be a good indication that all is not well and the outcome of said meeting won't be a good one. Time to cross everything again!

looks like that CVA meeting won't be on june 3rd. creditors have to be given at least 14 days notification until the meeting but so far Guilfoyle has not sent out the invites. earliest it will now be is monday 7th june. but it may well be after that.

It's getting more and more frustrating by the day. All this waiting is doing me no good at all!
I'm guessing any further delays for the meeting is because BG & CPFC2010 are making doubly sure that they will get the 75% needed for the CVA and tying up any loose ends, i.e. Simon Jordan!

i'm sure that's exactly what it is. CPFC2010 still have a few
creases that need ironing out before a CVA is completely
acceptable. plus, it looks like there's a possible new hitch with the ground which needs dealing with although no
specific details have been revealed as yet.

I read the rumours about that last night. The last thing we need at this stage is something else to go wrong. The whole thing is very worrying.

i keep thinking that at the rate things are going i won't be able to enjoy the
World Cup as i'm still going to be concerned about the future of Palace! why

Looks like that 'hitch' might have something to do with Sainsbury's judging by what's being said elsewhere. All still conjecture at this point, though.

I'm getting really fed up with all of this now. Seems we're just getting fed spoonfuls of BS every now and again about the takeover. I don't know what to believe anymore.

i agree. the whole thing has become farcical. the longer it goes on the worse state the club is going to be in. it's no wonder we're on the brink of players leaving. as each day passes it's a day closer to oblivion imo.

The sale of Ambrose if it goes through should provide funding for this month's wages and Jensen confirmed CPFC 2010 would have had no say in his departure.

"It's Mr Guilfoyle who is charge of things and he would have taken advice from people involved with the club," he said.

"Speaking as a fan and not on behalf of the consortium, I would like to get more than £750,000 but the club needs the money to pay wages.

"The over-riding concern is to keep the club.

"It's a shame as he is a great player and will be missed if he goes."”

i don't believe anything i read anymore. there's no point. one day it's
all rosy and the takeover is about to happen and no players will be sold
and the CVA meeting is about to be set up, then the next day it's all
doom & gloom.

because of this 14 day rule it means no CVA meeting until June 10th at the
earliest now. i can see this stretching out into the World Cup and if it's still
ongoing when the transfer window opens on July 1st then we will be well & truly
screwed.

Good luck Darren.

It's hard and frustrating to sit around and watch players leave, whilst not getting any more information on a new owner.

But, if it takes a player or two leaving to keep us going until the consortium can complete a successful take-over, and the result is we end-up on a secure financial set up, with no points deduction, then I can take that.

But some positive news would do nicely as soon as possible please.

Nick Carle has now gone, too. Apparently signed a 3-year deal with Sydney.

Still can't find any clarification if Clint Hill has signed for QPR or not yet. I think hs contract runs out with Palace on June 30th and he becomes a free agent (along with 7 others) on July 1st.

Speroni, McCarthy and Derry also being heavily linked with moves away now.

Meanwhile, still no news about the CPFC2010/PwC negotiations over the ground, and no news about the CVA meeting which cannot be held now until June 11th at the earliest.

The club is slowly having the life choked out of it as each day passes. It's gone beyond frustrating for me now, it's verging on the heartbreaking.

players will not be getting their may wages on time. and when (if) they do they will only be getting 50% of them.

plus, if they are not paid by june 16th then all contracts will be null & void and the players will be able to seek new clubs. and that will be the end of cpfc.

it's endgame now. we are staring oblivion right in the eye.

Apparently all players have been individually valued and BG will listen to offers for any of them. Sean Scannell has been reportedly valued at a paltry £250k! Just shows the shocking state we're in as it wasn't too long ago that Villa were prepared to pay £2m for him.

If we don't get some positive news from somewhere in the next few days I feel we may have to seriously prepare for the worst.

each day it gets even more depressing - if that's possible.
i've virtually given up on hearing any good news. each day i
just wait for the news that it's all over. i know i should be more
optimistic or at least try to be but now the player sales have begun
the hole we're in is getting deeper and i'm not sure anymore that
we can get out of it.

His departure comes hot on the heels of Nick Carle's free transfer to Sydney FC this week, two years after Palace forked out £1 million to sign the Australian from Bristol City.

The Eagles' administrator Brendan Guilfoyle, of the P & A Partnership, was only financed until the end of the season and now has no way of paying the club's £800,000 monthly wage bill other than generating revenue through player sales.

Ambrose's move to Loftus Road has enabled Guilfoyle to pay May's salaries – he would have had to ask the permission of the Professional Footballers' Association to defer the wages for a month had it not gone through.

But he will need to get rid of another of Palace's top players in a month's time if the sale of the club has not taken a significant step forward.

Unfortunately for Palace, many of their key assets are out of contract this summer and can leave for nothing if they wish. Former Eagles boss Neil Warnock is intent on capitalising as he builds the Rangers squad for a play-off push next season, and soon-to-be free agents Shaun Derry and Clint Hill are also in his sights. Reports have claimed both will follow Ambrose to QPR.

But Guilfoyle needs transfer fees and will have to continue selling players to keep paying the bills unless the CPFC 2010 consortium – the prospective buyers of the club – agree to fund Palace through the summer.

He will hold a creditors' committee meeting today (Friday) to keep those creditors informed of the latest developments.

Last week the consortium – headed by Eagles fans Steve Parish and Martin Long – agreed a conditional deal with Selhurst Park's administrators PricewaterhouseCoopers to buy the ground.

But they are unwilling to complete the purchase before being convinced that the terms of the creditors voluntary arrangement (CVA) - the compulsory method of exiting administration - will be accepted by those owed money by the club.

With an expected offer of one penny return for every pound owed, it will not be easy for 2010 to reach that 75 per cent threshold, particularly with former chairman Simon Jordan claiming he is owed £7.8 million.

Guilfoyle, who only recognises £1.9 million of that debt, said this week that Palace were "in a bad place" and admitted the club's future was now on a knife edge.

"Fans will be concerned because they see their star players being sold," he said.

"Now we are unfunded we need CPFC 2010 to intervene. I still feel there is every intention on the part of CPFC to complete the purchase but they need to secure the stadium first as that's the first step.

"We don't have the ability to pay the current wages. We are already dealing with what's behind us rather than what's in front."”
