I believe there's a deadline for that if they wanted to start a new club for next season. I may be wrong but I think that's passed so the earliest may be 2011/2012. I do know that the Supporter's Trust have contingency plans in place for such a club to come into existence.

Guilfoyle has just confirmed on BBC London it was him that
set the deadline not Agilo because he has no money left.
earlier on SSN he said he was shocked to hear of the deadline?!
just what game is he playing?

Seems he is the one putting the pressure on HBoS and CPFC2010 to reach an agreement tomorrow or he will have no option left to him but to begin the liquidation of the club. Find it hard to believe he couldn't have given it a few more days, though.

But then I suppose in a few more days, we'd be saying why couldn't he give it a few more days.

From what I understand, (if no deal is done) he will begin selling the players from tomorrow and because of that CPFC 2010 will pull out.

Palace have so many fans. this would be a tragedy for those who really care about the club. I have many lifelong Palace supporting friends and this will crush them. I can't believe it has come to this.

I say that because he's been putting back deadlines since he arrived. And I find it odd that he announces the deadline on a Bank Holiday Monday when he knows that no one from HBoS can be contacted. It's almost as if he is doing his best to get the club liquidated.

Yes, that is the jist of it, however David Jensen has apparently said it depends what players, but I fail to see what difference that would make as it's obvious who the first ones to be sold will be.

Indeed, it is ironic that it's come down to another one of his deadlines.

Let's hope this one can be put back also. (Well actually, let's hope this one does lead to a successful deal tomorrow I suppose.)

Indeed. I suppose if a deal is done tomorrow then BG will take the praise for being the one who forced the issue to save the club.

I really hope tomorrow isn't the end for Palace and that common sense will prevail. Good Luck.

As a Wolves fan I do hope Place survive, however I do fear the worst, the Bank has the obligation to its shareholders to get the best deal and sentiment won't come into it.

This sound a bit odd to only give 24 hours notice, i hope The Eagles get out of this mess

d-day arrives.

i have not slept a wink and feel physically sick. the consortium have come so far and have even got simon jordan to agree to a CVA. to be destroyed by some poxy clause that lloyds hbos suddenly changed their mind on doesn't bear thinking about.

Whilst it's sad. A big team needs to be put out of business in order to send a wake up call to every other team that is on the brink.

Personally I hope it's not you (it's a certain other team due in court over unpaid tax) but it has to happen to someone.

The more they keep letting the big boys off and hammering the small clubs the worse it will get.

Palace, will certainly need to get some thing sorted out and fast with the fixtures for next season due out in a couple of weeks the Football League, are going to want some kind of reassurance that Crystal Palace will be able to compete next season.

No, not for a long while now, but he was the man that seperated the ground from the club when he sold Palace to Mark Goldberg in the late 90's. Rock Investments then bought the ground about 6 years ago but they went into administration a short while back and since then its Lloyds/HBoS that own it.

I do hope Palace will survive. I have a penchant for the London clubs as an Arsenal fan and you did bless us with Ian Wright.

What are the chances of the deadline being extended?

If you believe the administrator, Brendan Guilfoyle, who set it, then none. At 3pm he will start to sell off all the players and the liquidation process begins. But we can always hope...

It's nice to see some messages of support from other fans on here.

I can't share the same sentiment, I hope you go bust so I can laugh at the drenched crying fans on SSN later on

is this being heard in the law courts, as when similar action was brought against Southend and Cardiff recently they got an extension.

This is a bit different as it's not HMRC that are forcing the issue here, it's the hedge-fund, Agilo, which forced Palace into administration and appointed Brendan Guilfoyle who is the one that has set the deadline.

Lloyds have released a statement saying they do not want Palace to go bust and negotiations with CPFC2010 are ongoing and they hope to reach a durable arrangement concerning the ground but will not release any more information as yet.

BBS and HOL have gone into meltdown, I cannot get onto either right now!
