I think it's going to be a worrying summer for Palace fans as despite what the new consortium may say it's inevitable players will have to go. Who ever Palace get in as there next manager he's going to have a massive job to turn things around.

we'll definitely see a few players leave but i reckon most will stay especially once contracts have been sorted which the new owners are already working on. plus when we do get the new manager in (hopefully in the next couple of weeks) we'll be able to bring in a few new signings and be ready for the pre-season.
a pity about Ertl. he did really well for us especially in the final few
weeks of the season.

"I was always confident a deal would be done," he said.
"There was a danger Parish may have been playing hardball too much but if they hadn't agreed the deal then it wouldn't have mattered too much.
"The administrator would have sold Darren Ambrose and the money from that would have kept the club running for a month and then someone else would have stepped in.
"If Parish's deal fell through then I had a group of people who had been asking me what was happening."”

Noades does raise an interesting point, though. None of these new guys have any kind of experience in what it's like to run a football club just like Goldberg & Jordan before them. Noades has his shortcomings and made mistakes but he does know the game. Although I would prefer someone else in that Director of Football role (should there be one) Steve Kember for example.

The thing that worries me about Hart, is that I don't think he would be given much time by the fans.
I have to be honest, I wouldn't like Hart to come back. Don't get me wrong I'll be forever grateful to the guy for stepping in like he did under horrendous circumstances and I admire him for that, however, I stand by what I said earlier in this thread, we didn't stay up because of him it was in despite of him.
no to paul hart for me. his tactics were so negative alot of the time. it was more about not losing rather than winning. he gets my eternal thanks for coming in like he did but i don't want him back as manager. director of football would be a good role for him instead.

Now that I would go for. But I think he is itching to get back into management which is why he put himself forward for the Hull job.
Yeah, I'd second the director of football position for Hart, but TBH we have to strike a balance between what we need as a team and a club, and who we're grateful to.
