If we do sign him I think he'll just be known as Raddy or Rado!

It finished Palace 0-1 Chelsea.

Was able to watch the game online. We played some good stuff at times especially in defence and midfield. But it's so very clear that we lack a cutting edge up front without a decent striker. That has to be priority for Burley this next week or so.

I know it was only a friendly - but everyone must be pleased at the score?

It is also very encouraging that there was a crowd of over 21,000.

Let's hope that we can start the season with a full team, preferably including a striker or two!

Only watched it online, but how good was it to see us passing it about!?

Hope we can take that kind of play into the league.

i managed to get there. we played well but god we need a striker. calvin andrew works hard and gets into good positions but he cannot finish. he is our emile heskey.

seeing us pass the ball around was good to see and the attendance & atmosphere was great.

we get a good striker or two in the new season will be one to look forward to.

From everything I've read it seems that Davide Baiocco impressed the most out of the trialists. I personally liked him, he kept the ball well and knew which pass to make and when. Looked comfortable with the ball, too.

Radosavljević had a decent game. Broke up the oppositions play on a number of occasions.

Both would be good additions if we can get them.

i agree with all that especially with biaocco. he looked real good. bridcutt is the other one i liked.

only trialist i wasn't impressed with at all was anthony ouasafane. looked out of his depth.

I was there, we weren't too bad otherwise and their goal was rather good IMO.

17 quid for a ticket! Even Chelsea was only 15.

Julian Speroni linked with Celtic over the weekend but Burley has thankfully played it down:

i'd be amazed if he goes anywhere after the way he pledged his allegience to us a couple of weeks back. the speculation doesn't help though.

The pre-season game at Croydon Athletic has been postponed.

Linl

We have officially signed Lewis Price.

Lewis Price is a good addition.

we're edging closer to the end of the 28-day appeal process for the CVA.
if HMRC are going to lodge an appeal it will have to happen in the next few days.

Following on from that we have now arranged a pre-season game at Bromley instead.

Parish has apparently said Brum must up it to at least £3m
before he will even consider a bid.

I think today is deadline day.

Even £3m isn't enough IMO. He's got to be worth at least £4m.

great news. the cva deadline has passed without any appeal.

Quote:
“Palace could be out of administration as early as next week after the statutory 28-day cooling off period for creditors to appeal following the approval of the club’s company voluntary arrangement expired this afternoon.

Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs were the only creditor to vote against the CVA and had until the courts closed at 4pm today to contest the ruling.

Thankfully they opted not to do so and CPFC 2010 can now formally apply for a transfer of the club’s Football League share.

Talks have already taken place between the League and 2010 and the transfer of the share is expected to be a mere formality.

Once that is completed the club will be out of administration and it will be back to business as usual for the Eagles.

Administrator Brendan Guilfoyle said he was delighted with the news and paid particularly praise to 2010 leader and new Palace co-chairman Steve Parish.

“This is now the beginning of the end of the rescue of Crystal Palace,” said Guilfoyle. “I am delighted and would like to express my sincere gratitude for the support and patience of the staff and fans and indeed everyone involved at Crystal Palace.

“I would like to say a special thank you to Steve Parish. Without his determination and tenacity it would not have been possible to resolve the many difficulties that arose during such complex and lengthy negotiations.””

Delighted about the CVA news. Now we really can look to a bright future.

Hopefully we can get that elusive striker signing sorted in the next week.

i went to the game. ambrose is priceless to us. without him we would really struggle for goals again this coming season. especially as with two weeks to go theres still no sign of a striker coming in.

ranger would be good but not so sure about mcgivern. from what i have been reading lots of leicester fans saying he was their worst player for them when he was there last season.

i remember Charlton fans saying the same about Ambrose but look how good he turned out once he wore the red & blue. same could happen with McGivern.

Speaking of Ambrose, he's now signed a new 3 year deal.
