Currently listening to it and I'm on the verge of switching off... we are being pummeled!

this could be another embarrassment. we are getting pasted. it's 2-0 now and fully deserved as they have missed a hatful of chances.

We've been shocking away from home so far this season. Still haven't scored a goal. Burley has his work cut out at the break. Big changes needed me thinks.

half-time : derby 2-0 palace

probably our worst 45 minutes this season.

I think that's our 5th red this season - and it's not even October yet!!

The biggest concern is at 2-0 we completely gave up. You'd think going down to 10 men would rally the players and spur them on but the opposite has happened.

Burley has big questions to be answered after this debacle.

also worrying is it's now played 4, lost 4 away from home and no goals scored, 12 conceded.
that's abysmal by anyone's standard.

You have to laugh really. Just to make it bearable.

I was an Anfield when we lost 9-0. So... it could be worse!

Full credit to the fans who traveled up there. They were brilliant again.

(Although, they should ask for their money back!)

I found it hard to sing but those who did keep it up are a credit to Palace. What an awful afternoon. Still, it's not as we've got any big games coming up is it?

They've put up a statue to Clough and Taylor which was worth a look.

Quote:
“George Burley has demanded an improvement from Crystal Palace after the 5-0 thrashing at Derby.

He said: "We're struggling away from home, but we've done well at home. It was very disappointing, we've got to be stronger, but we have a lot of young players in the side who are finding it hard away from home.

"We need to stand up and be counted and be more difficult to beat. We've got to be tougher, stronger and most important of all we've got to be disciplined."

The Eagles lost James Vaughan to a red card in the 20th minute and put in a shocking defensive display for the rest of the game.

"James Vaughan is a first class striker so to lose him from the game was a massive blow," said Burley.

"I think it was a striker's challenge. You can't argue with the decision and we won't be appealing against the sending off. He apologised, the ball was there to be won but he dived in.

"We started the second half well today but then a cross hits a defender and we are 3-0 down. These things go against you when you are away from home and the confidence drains a little bit. The next away game is at Cardiff so we must be better than we were."”

Aww, bless them. Must be tough leaving Mummy & Daddy every fortnight for a couple of hours while earning a few grand a week!

lol

at least he has recognised we need to be tougher, stronger and more disciplined. it's going to be hard at cardiff tomorrow night but i'm hoping the lads will want to put right the abysmal performance on saturday.

Hope you're right. Apparently we haven't lost five straight away league games since November 2003!
