i agree with you guys. Marrow has done really well during his loan
spell and would be a great signing.

more good news is our youth team are through to the next round of the
FA Youth Cup after beating Cardiff 3-0 this mid-week & we go
to Anfield for the next round.

”

A great draw for us, just a pity it's not at home.

Looks very defensive to me - set up to get a point and to be honest I would be happy with that today.

at least ambrose is back. might give us more belief going forward.

Doesn't sound like we're getting forward much.

no. and now we're a goal down.

It was coming. Our formation and tactics are very negative. We better switch to 4-4-2 for the second half.

we have no width at all.
burley has got this hopelessly wrong so far...

1-0 Forest at the break.

Very, very poor first half performance. Burley simply has to make changes. Scannell and Zaha should both come on.

2-0 Forest. Surely game over already?

our only hope now is for a sudden blizzard to turn up and abandon the game!

Aaargh. I'm stuck down in Sussex with a match ticket for today and train tickets, because there's no way I'd get home tonight.

Come on Palace, don't depress me further.

I'm sure that the result is not in doubt - but it would be nice to finish with at least one shot on target!

finally we're actually attacking them.

Calvin Andrew on now. Desperate times and all that...

I see that we now have achieved a shot on target - perhaps I should ask for a consolation goal?

The match stats thingy on the BBC website:

1 attempt on target versus 10.

Sorry, not being sarky, just despair ...

bottom 3 at christmas and only 21 points from 22 games...
not looking good for us is it?

I saw 3 and thought I'd missed something

Seriously though, at least the gap isn't that wide just above the drop zone. We can but hope for a rally in the New Year, which isn't without precedent.

This will be our 9th defeat in 11 away games this season. That's truly shocking.

Makes you wonder about Burley's tactics and man-management skills when we're away from Selhurst - we're such pushovers.

Agreed. January is a massive month for us. If CPFC2010 stump up the cash and Burley brings in the right players we could still be mid-table by May.

i'm not sure i trust burley to get that right. my confidence in him is evaporating more & more by the week...

Maybe, just maybe, we're seeing the consequences of a team that hasn't gelled because of January transfers looming? I'm not having a pop at manager or team, just pondering why we just aren't being Palace on the pitch.

PS Looked at the stats again. We can keep the ball, we can't get it anywhere where it counts. Sorry to be Captain Obvious.

PPS and while I was typing ... FFS
