2 down... all over.

Our defence goes AWOL yet again.

cpfc2010 have to do the best thing for the club now & get rid of burley... he cannot be trusted in the transfer market this month... we will just end up playing the same crappy way anyway.

3-0. Embarrassing and quite simply unacceptable.

Even I will admit Burley has to be on very thin ice after this debacle.

burley should do the decent thing and walk... his whole reign is a nightmare...

Full-time: 3-0 Millwall.

Beyond dismal.

one of my darkest days as a palace fan and there's been a few...

burley's position is now untenable...

Obviously the buck stops with Burley but I think questions need to be raised about the players, too. Gutless is the first word that springs to mind on today's performance from them.
-Bandit-

i don't reckon our players have any faith in burley or his management style... we all know they are better than the performances there are providing...
Sattrega

Valid point, but they should still be putting in more effort IMO. At times this season they let their heads drop & give up way too easily.

Looking on the bright side; I renewed my season ticket before the deadline.

*** bangs head against wall ***

I agree with Bandit, we have better players than this, it must be because they're being demotivated.

Confirmed on the official site - Burley has been sacked!

i just heard. i do feel a bit sorry for burley but it clearly had to be done as it was becoming more and more obvious nothing was working under him... today was the final nail in the coffin...

i wonder who cpfc2010 have in mind to take over?

some good news but who are we going to get instead ?
Sattrega
01-01-2011
Steve Coppell, Chris Coleman, Gareth Southgate, Chris Hughton & Jim Magilton are some of the early names being banded about.
-Bandit-
01-01-2011
chris hughton was at the den today apparently...
Sattrega

Andy Scott, Phil Brown, Paul Jewell, Sean O'Driscoll & Iain Dowie are other names being mentioned.
-Bandit-

not phil brown!!

not sure who i want in... quite like the idea of hughton, jewell or o'driscoll...

wouldn't mind southgate either...

Curbishley another name now being talked about!

i'm ecstatic that Burley is gone.
today was garbage. i was ashamed at the end. CPFC2010
had no option but to sack him after that shambles.

if he had stayed we would have gone down for certain.
now with a new manager we have a chance of staying up.

Eddie Howe getting a lot of support at some other forums.

Thank God hes gone, If he had been any sort of a man he would of fallen on his sword weeks ago,
I fear the damage done is too severe to save us this year tho but I live in hope.
Really hope its not Hughton myself, he was lucky at Newcastle to have a squad so superior to every other team in the league that just about anyone would of won them promotion.

looking at the names being mentioned the standout
ones for me are O'Driscoll, Howe, Curbishley and Coppell,
although i think Coppell might be a backward step too much
and i'd be surprised if we got one of the other 3.

i think Hughton, Southgate, Coleman & Jewell will be the
front runners.

Well, what a shit game that was.

I can't even bring myself to have an opinion on a new guy. Impossible to tell who'll be any good.

Just really hope Dougie can produce something on Monday. Especially if it's his last game.
