Couldn't be more happier (afcb fan here) I just hope you get someone other than Keith Hill. He is a good manager but could be a hell of a lot better one if he wasn't such a prat.

Who do you want as manager now?
Not a clue to be honest. In a fantasy world Hodgson or Curbishley would be great but if it doesn't go to Hill it wouldn't surprise me if we end up with someone like Coleman, Sousa or Magilton. As for Dougie, if we were sitting comfortably in mid-table I wouldn't hesitate at giving the job to him until May but considering the dire position we are in and with him having virtually no experience it would be a massive risk to let him take the helm. Huge decision coming up for CPFC2010 again. |

That's me stunned!
Dougie is probably my all time favourite Palace player and the guy is a true legend & hero of mine. I will support him 100% and wish him all the luck in the world but this is a massive risk by CPFC2010. It's going to be crucial that those "older heads" that Parish talks about bringing in to assist are the right people. |

Quality stuff! Didn't expect that.
The way I see it, everyone would have been a risk. Might as well give Dougie the chance. ![]() Let's hope he can be as successful for us, as Eddie Howe has been at Bournemouth. |

kind of reminds me when we first appointed coppell...
if this works out & dougie is successful we could have a manager for years bringing much needed stability to the club just like coppell did in the 80's/early 90's... really happy for the dougster... |

Good points about Howe & Coppell. The thing we need more than anything is stability.
At least now we can get our fingers into that transfer market. |

got to get a striker, a central defender & holding midfielder... that must be the main priority... |

At the very least it should give a positive boost - and he'll get full support from the crowd, which is not always a given with us.
![]() Hopefully we can fully concentrate on the league now, without someone having to 'settle in'. Oh, and we won't have to put up with any more days of rumour and bullshit. Which is always a good thing. |

Good luck to Dougie Freeman, nice to see a club stick their neck out and go for an untried guy who knows his club inside out rather than recycle the same old misfits. I have a number of Palace so always keep an eye on their progress.

congrats to Dougie on landing the job. a big gamble by CPFC2010
but also a big opportunity for Dougie to prove himself as the main man. nice easy start for him, away at Swansea! ![]() i did hear a rumour that Ray Wilkins was being sounded out for a role at the club. wouldn't that be brilliant if true! |

Good news, we have signed Welsh international Jermaine Easter for an undisclosed fee from MK Dons.

Oh dear, im gonna seem like a serial moaner because I complained when Hart got the job last year, whined when Burley got the nod and was one of the first to call for him to go but I fear Dougie is out of his depth here.
Three nil down and granted the two penalties were harsh but have we even threatened their goal? No shape at the back, no drive and a lack of belief, this team needs to hit the ground running with a rocket up its backside not take time to find its feet. I really hope Dougie finds a mean streak in himself and prooves me wrong (as Hart did last year to be honest) but can anyone take a thing from the first hour of this game thats positive? |

As bad as its been today a quick word for the fans there today. Three nil down and hundreds of miles from home and they havent stopped singing, cant hear any Swansea chants at all.

i really expected the lads to come out blazing, showing desire & passion today to try and put all the wrongs of burley's reign right but instead i had to endure one of the worst performances of the season and that is really saying alot as we have been dire away from home this season...
not sure what else to say right now... |

I wasn't expecting too much today but I had hoped for more than we got.
The more I see of Garvan and Dorman the more I'm amazed they call themselves professional footballers. Both are awful. Too many weak links in the squad, we can only hope Dougie gets the funds to bring in the 3 or 4 players he needs in this next fortnight to help turn things around. |

i turned it off with 15 minutes left. total crap.
i can't believe how many penalties we have given away this season! the only way i can see us getting out the bottom 3 now is if Dougie somehow gets Jesus himself to become assistant boss. |

to many dougie is a god so getting jesus on side might not be too much of a problem!!
![]() another big problem for us now is to stay up we have to finish above 3 others. apart from preston & scunny i don't see who that 3rd team is going to be... |

Three of our next four games are at home, we really need to make that count. |

The Championship is overrated anyway.
![]() Wasn't expecting much different to what happened yesterday tbh. It's Swansea at home - they don't concede there, let alone lose. |

Take this with a pinch of salt, but The Mirror has us not only putting in a £850k bid for James Vaughan but that we're also lining up Lennie Lawrence as an assistant to Dougie.
