James Vaughan - yes please.

New ground at Crystal Palace - yes please.

Both perhaps unlikely, but both potentially awesome!

Isn't this sticking two-fingers up at Croydon Council? They supported & backed CPFC2010 when they were trying to acquire Selhurst last year and now they're saying we no longer want to play in your borough?

I'm assuming that Bromley Council have done a major u-turn? They have always been against a football team returning to the borough so what has suddenly changed?

Don't get me wrong, I do think we need to relocate as Selhurst is dying a very slow death but I'm surprised it's Bromley we're looking to go back to.

the Bromley thing is weird. maybe CPFC2010 have somehow persuaded them
to think differently to their previous position or maybe they realise that if West
Ham get the Olympic stadium then the NSC becomes nothing but a white
elephant.

i suppose we will find out more tomorrow.

here is another report about it all - Link

So pleased that the vast majority of Palace fans I've spoken to are really positive about the proposed move. Selhurst park is a joke lets face it and it's been holding us back in one way or another for many years.

Looks like Bromley Council have done a u-turn and are happy for a potential return of the club to the borough.

Plans for our potential new ground revealed:

Part One

Part Two

Plus, looks like Lennie Lawrence is to become one of Dougie's assistants:

got to give cpfc2010 full credit for their vision of the future of the club. the new stadium looks very nice and the plans all round seem viable & sensible but i would still be amazed to see this happen so i'm not getting over excited by it...

i can imagine all the locals around the park being totally against this from the off...

looks cool & i like all the plans. amazing how much CPFC2010 have got done
in such a short space of time. even if this doesn't work out & they have to switch
to plan B at least we know the club & its future is in very safe hands.

not sure about the roof but at least it looks different from the usual look of most newly built stadiums over the last few years which all look the same. It's many years since I last went to Selhurst Park, back in the early 90's and even then the ground looked tired and out dated and as there is very little you can do to re-build on the sight a move makes perfect sense.

As a West Ham, fan I'm delighted thatCrystal Palace, have put this bid in as it throws a huge spanner in the works Tottenhams plans to move to the O.S.

however, although UK Athletics, back your plans it seems they are also saying you must keep the running track now that I find odd as they already will have the track at the O.S. So they are basicly telling Palace you can move here if you also build us a new stadium.

I think there will be a running track & athletics facility but not inside the actual football stadium but as part of the whole redevelopment of Crystal Palace Park.

Better pic is here. The atheltics facility would be built off to the right of the stadium as you look at it.

This would coincide with West Ham getting the Olympic Stadium as that would be used as the main athletics stadium in London. If Spurs win the bid our chairman said our plans would probably have to change to incorporate the running track back in the actual football stadium itself. Or, we would look elsewhere for a new home.

I like it. I like it a lot.

Not sure it'll actually ever happen - local people just seem so against it.

But I love the plans.

0-0 at home to Bristol City.
mostly dire again. no light to see yet at the
end of this very dark tunnel.

Think they all worked hard, but it's just problems in the final third still. Can only remember two shots.

Could do with a quality, pacey winger I think.

yeah, it was poor again overall... the team clearly lacks confidence in that final third which desperately needs to be sorted out quickly...

some plus points though, 5 clean sheets in the row at home and we didn't throw it away and end up losing the game... and good to see ambrose & marrow back...

we're not adrift yet but we we can't afford these type of draws otherwise we soon will be...

Not much to add to what has already been said. Lots of huff & puff with no true quality to the play or anything to show in the final third.

We do need some more players in to strengthen this squad, that much is apparent but if we don't get them I think there's only so much Dougie & Lennie can do with this lot. Would that be enough to keep us up? My doubts grow by the week.

All well and good staying patient but when you only have a week left to get players in you may have to take a risk or two.

Good to see him addressing the defensive problem.

Steve Parish tweeted earlier that we are inching closer to some
deals.

i'm hoping one of those is that defensive midfielder we so badly lack.

Delighted with the news that we now have Vaughan until the end of the season. Lets hope that he, Iversen & Easter can start scoring!

deals.

Latest tweet is we have put in two bids - one for a left back & one for a defensive midfielder.
