Very encouraging result - especially as the three teams below us lost by 3 or 4 goals so they all have a worse goal difference than us.

Yep, last team to score at Selhurst in the league were Watford on November 9th.

Got to give huge credit to Dougie & Lennie. We were pushovers under Burley but that already appears to have been rectified. We're definitely made of sterner stuff, now.

Yay.

A lot of possession for them, but we worked hard and a win is a win.

Moxey looks a quality signing.

All heading in the right direction.

Looks like some of our youngsters will be sent out on loan this week including both Kieran Djilali & Kieron Cadogan.

shame about Djilali and Cadogan, that was one thing Burley did get right.
they both started the season well and i thought they would both play
bigger parts. at least we're not selling them.

I was there in 1995. IIRC, Richard Shaw was my man of the match.

Doesn't feel like 16 years ago! I was in the Holmesdale that night. What happened still feels surreal to this very day.

West Ham getting the preferred status for the Olympic Stadium is good news for us with our plans for Crystal Palace Park.

2-1 defeat.

is this the worst season we've ever had away from home? i can't get over how poor we are on our travels... why we bother with garvan i'll never know... he is rubbish.

A consolation away goal at least, and we didn't give up.

Your fans were fantastic today, if that's any kind of consolation.

I didn't go today, but I did do the FA Cup. Coventry people seemed friendly, even tho' the place is a little harsh on the urban architecture front.

It's a bit transitional at the moment really. You can be in the cathedral or the medieval section, then turn around and see the concrete ring road or brutal 60s architecture. Eventually it'll be nice, promise!

I understand this fixture was decided on as some kind of special fan day? You had balloons, flares, people in wacky hats, the lot. Odd choice of away ground to do it though, ours is a bit cavernous as it's rarely more than half full.

Hey, I *like* post-war Coventry! (I'm a Palace fan which is why I'm reading this thread.) Place not your trust in deregulated capitalism ...

yeah it was a "Palace on tour" day. not sure how or who comes up with the choice of game though.

as for the game it was another unimpressive display away from home and another huge disappointment just like virtually every
other away game this season.

Not been to the Ricoh as yet but I did have a soft spot for Highfield Road. Went there a few times in the 90's and always had a good time, the home stewards and fans were always friendly and up for some good banter.

Obviously disappointed by the result although annoyed would probably be more apt. Getting sick & tired with this inability to perform away like we can at Selhurst. If this doesn't change we can kiss goodbye to our Championship status as I don't think our home form alone will keep us up.
