I still miss it. I could leave the door at 10 to 3 and be sat down ready for kickoff with time to spare; now I'm in the car at 2 in order to make it.
Massive three points for us. Great goal from Ambrose, one of his classics. KG was quite impressive in midfield. And incredibly that is now EIGHT clean sheets in a row at home!
Now, if only we can somehow pick up points away from Selhurst, we'd be flying!
Saturday was tense. wasn't pretty but only the result mattered and i think
we just edged it over the 90 minutes. need a big performance at Fratton
Park now as our next lot of fixtures coming up are very tough.
I agree, embarrassing is the right word for it. Dougie & Lennie are just not getting it right when we're away. We're being set up not to lose when instead we should be looking to win these type of games. And the fact it keeps back-firing and we keep losing away puts enormous pressure on our home games, and lets face it our good home form is going to come undone at some point.
We need to pick up points away from home if we are to stay up, it's as simple as that.
it was another dismal away showing. i don't think i'll be wasting my money
going to another away game again this season. the tactics are so defensive
and negative. the players we have are better than that. i know we are in a perilous
position but these are the games where we should be going on the offensive more.
we have the players to win games like these but the tactics are all wrong.
Tough one to analyse. Two points dropped? Probably, when you consider we were 2-0 up at one point and we also missed a penalty.
But, at least we didn't lose and we have proved that we are actually capable of scoring goals. It was a decent performance from an attacking point of view.
Just a pity we conceded three but I guess it was on the cards that when we did eventually let in another goal at home there would be a few.
Also good that we were the only side in the bottom five to pick up anything. Still all to play for.
gutted that we didn't win, and we should have won. should have been able to
close up shop at 3-2 but all the good things our defence have been doing of late
just vanished.
i can't help but think this was a missed opportunity for us, we could have opened
up a nice gap between us and the bottom 3.
