Confirmed that we have signed Quade Taylor. Link

Tough game today up at Burnley. I'd take a point right now. Apparently Jules faces a late fitness test over a groin injury. Lewis Price stands by for his debut.

speroni isn't fully fit & lewis price makes his debut... so i'd definitely take a point right now too...

line-up...

Price, Clyne, Wright, McCarthy, Ambrose, Danns, Iversen, Moxey, Gardner, KG, Vaughan,

Subs : Davis, Barrett, Scannell, Zaha, Coungago, Easter, Speroni

Best of luck to Price, let's hope it's a debut to remember for all the right reasons!

not likely... 1-0 down after 3 minutes... unbelievable.

I knew as soon as I had posted that comment it would backfire on me but I didn't expect it to happen that quick!

At least it wasn't three minutes from time and we can still get back in to this.
-Bandit-

we must be setting some sort of record for our worst ever season away from home... i certainly don't remember a season where we have been as crap as this on our travels...
Sattrega
05-03-2011
Not sure if it's a record but just six points from seventeen away games (so far) is wretched in every sense.
-Bandit-
05-03-2011
you're being lenient with the word wretched... i'd use scandalous instead!
Sattrega
05-03-2011
Lol. How about pitiful, too? That's a good word to describe our away form this term.

1-0 down at half-time. At least we haven't gone under. Still a chance to get something from this game.
-Bandit-
05-03-2011
pitiful is about right... you'd think we would have learnt something with the amount of times we've got it wrong away this season... but it just seems to be the same old story...

Scunthorpe now winning 1-0. Not looking a good day for us at the moment all round.
-Bandit-

1-0 at full time.

14 defeats in 18 away games... shambolic. this pathetic record will send us down.

The away record is embarrassing. It's shameful how many times we've lost on the road this season.

Scunthorpe winning was a big blow but came as no surprise. With Cardiff and QPR up next I would be amazed if we weren't back in the bottom three in two games time. Depressing stuff once again.

Not there, too expensive a day out. 3 minutes must be gutting for those Palace keeping the faith. I have to miss Tuesday for medical reasons too. QPR will be fun, not.

I guess as Palace we're made to suffer ...

i didn't go but my cousin did and after speaking to him on the phone this morning
about the game he said it was the same old rubbish. our defence and midfield sit
far too deep and the tactics are set up for us not to concede, get a draw but maybe
sneak a 1-0 win on the break.

i can understand Dougie wanting to tighten things up away from home but with so
few games left now they must realise that playing for draws isn't good enough and
will not keep us out the bottom 3. we surely have to be more positive then this?

That has to change. The midfield is also too narrow IMO, we have no width anymore.

There's enough pressure on us to perform and get results at home as it is without adding to it by our consistent ineptness away. Dougie needs to be more positive, take a risk or two.

not looking forward to tonight or saturday for that matter... got everything crossed that our good home form continues...

looks like we are trying to sign swansea midfielder kemy agustien on loan until the end of the season... link

Palace 1 Cardiff 0

another great home win. 9 clean sheets in our last 10 home games.
our last 5 home wins have all been 1-0.
luck on our side tonight aswell. they missed a penalty which was very
harshly given so justice was done. and our goal has to be one of the
flukiest i've seen in a long while.

Brilliant win and deserved IMO. It's amazing the difference when we play at home. At Selhurst we are capable now of taking points off anyone in the division which makes it more frustrating when we can't do the same away.

Pity about Boro' & the Blades winning, but at least Scunthorpe got beat.
-Bandit-
09-03-2011
thought we deserved the 3 points also... it was a tough game but we showed that when we put our minds to it we can live with the better teams in the division... now we need dougie to believe we can be more offensive away from home and the players to rise to that...

This is worth reading >> Link << if only for Dave Jones' comments. He was obviously watching a different game to the rest of us!
