Scunthorpe 4-1 QPR. If that doesn't give them a massive confidence boost for the run-in nothing will.

Full-time: Ipswich 2-1 Palace.
Same old story. Same old boring, tragic, tedious story. |

our cushion is cut to 5 points... the game against scunny next weekend is going to be gigantic... that gap could be even less by then after the midweek match at leicester...

Our goal difference is far, far superior to Scunthorpes, so you could say it's the same as having a 6-point gap on them.
Midweek games: (that matter) Tuesday, 12 April 2011 Derby v Leeds Doncaster v Preston Leicester v Crystal Palace Scunthorpe v Reading Sheff Utd v Cardiff |

our away record is a disgrace. the two goals we gave away yesterday
were soft. the first he should have been closed down much quicker and shouldn't be scoring from that angle. the second was a complete joke defensively. the game against Scunthorpe next Saturday could be the one that decides whether we go on to stay up or go down. |

Calvin Andrew and Alassane N'Diaye have extended their loan deals at Swindon until the end of the season.

Anyone think we may end our away hoodoo tonight at Leicester? Nope, didn't think so!
Another occassion where we're probably relying on the other results of those around us to help us out again. |

Leicester 1 Palace 1
still can't win away - i think that's 15 games now. but it is a good away point as none of the others around us won either. Scunthorpe & Sheff Utd both lost and Doncaster drew with Preston. we're 6 points clear of the drop zone with 5 games to go but this Saturday its Palace v Scunthorpe & Preston v Sheff Utd so that could change very quickly. |

Decent point. Still annoyed how we can't hold on to leads on our travels or close out games.
The Scunthorpe game on Saturday now is monumental. We win that and we will be on the very brink of safety. Do the unthinkable and lose it and that could destroy our morale once and for all. And we absolutely have to stay up now that the Seaweed have been promoted. Us, them and Millwall in the same division next season would be mental! |

Palace 1 Scunthorpe 2
pathetic, the one game we couldn't afford to lose and they do. the first half was total crap. and Preston won too. if we fail to win at Doncaster on Friday that is us down, i'm sure of it because no way will we be beating the likes of Hull and Leeds. |

that was a complete nightmare... took us to go 2-0 down before we really turned up... not good enough...
they were more up for it than us and that is what is hard to take... we bottled it big time and now we are probably going to pay for it... looking at the remaining fixtures i would rather have scunny's run-in than ours... we probably need 2 wins from our last 4 but i can't see that happening after todays shambles... both scunny & preston have momentum now & belief they can stay up whereas we look clueless... bad, bad times... |

"Bottled it" is an apt phrase as that is exactly what we did.
Incredibly disappointing, I think we all expected so much more but it was so poor at times. I still think 48 points will be enough but getting those 5 points from the 4 games we have left is a different matter altogether. This could go to the last game again. |

i cannot see us winning again this season. 4 draws might be enough but with our dismal away record and the gutless way we surrender games i think we are staring relegation in the face. |

It looks bad but we still have 3 points on Scunthorpe plus a vastly superior goal difference and 4 points on Preston. I'd still rather be in our position with 4 games to go than be in the bottom three playing catch-up.
Yesterday was awful but we are still capable of winning any of our last 4 games. Beating Doncaster next Friday would be massive as it would drag them below us and well and truly in to the relegation mire. Hopefully our boys will be up for rectifying the dismal result from yesterday by finally securing an away win. |
