Me and my parnter have just got 2 Nec 808y phones from Onestop (god knows how i passed the credit check).

Like most things, I can work out the simple things to do with a phone but has anyone some sugestions, tips or idea's of what can be done with the Nec 808?

I've seen on other fourms people using the phone as an MP3?WMA player and downloading clips of the net etc?

I've got the 808 and the 808Y and I reckon the 808Y is the better phone. It holds on the 3G signal better (and when the 808 gives up) and the battery lasts longer. The only thing is that they don't look as expensive (I know FREE!) and as it doesn't fold up the screen and the keys aren't protected when in transit.

Anyone got any recommendations for a case? At the moment the best I can do is put it in the litte plastic bag when it's in my pocket but that's just naff and wouldn't protect the screen against everything.

Be careful with the huge nec 808, my friend had one and the other day it slammed closed on his head. It took the firebregade 3 hours to get him free with their apparatus and he's now in hospital with head injuries!

(can't talk really, I have the 606 which is smaller but still a brick and not the phone I wanted it to be. Lesson to all, avoid 3 if possible.)

It must'nt be too hard to pass a credit check. My rating is low, cause I got a copy a month ago off my credit report, and have passed credit checks for 3 and orange this month.
