Retuned, now channels missing...
Metal Mickey

Sorry, can't remember what Panasonic model I have, but it's about 18 months old if that's any help! I've been having lots of "Bad Signal" time with Sky3, so at the weekend I decided to do an autotune, after which I've now lost Sky3 completely, and also lost Dave and E4+1, i.e. the channels have completely disappeared from the set-up. I re-tuned twice more to no other effect.

What might cause this, and how can I get these channels back? As far as I can tell there's no "manual" tune option.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Hi Metal, you may have to do a scan several times to receive the full compliment of channels, also for some reason try to do the rescan in the morning rather than the evenings or late afternoon.

This will be entirely an aerial reception issue.

Either you aerial has degraded [ Moved due to recent high winds - or has moisture in the downlead due to rain ] ... or reception may be poor because of weather conditions or because there is a great deal of transmitter work going on currently in anticipation of the analogue switch-off.

You have lost Multiplex C.

See lit of channels / multiplexes here:

There was actually no point in retuning as you have now lost the channel placeholders....and somehow to stand a chance of receiving the channels you will need to improve your aerial - or your connection to the unit... or use someone else's aerial to retune and get your channel placeholders back.

Try plugging your aerial as directly as possible into the unit with as few connections as possible [ Each connection introduces a signal loss ] ... and then rescanning.

If you get the channels back but do not have reliable reception, DO NOT rescan. You cannot improve things that way.

You will need to check your aerial installation.
