Opal fruits
*sigh*
Those were the days!
My mother tried to convince me that Fruit Polos were just the same.

She failed.

After ten years of absence from British playgrounds, Opal Fruits are set to make a return. Mars, the manufacturers, is bringing back the sweets for a limited period in conjunction with the supermarket chain ASDA.
The fruit chews that were "made to make you mouth water" were replaced by Starburst in 1998, the name under which they had been exported to the US in the seventies

Opal mints or Pacers as they were later called
Oh and I wish they could still make chocolate crispets, little oval shaped chocolates with coconut in them, anyone else remember them?

Talking of bottles, I used to like those old-fashioned 1950s style pop bottle stoppers.

You don't have to answer this Moya but, do you mean the white ceramic screw in thingys with a red rubber seal.
(I think i've lost you young'uns ).

What about 1970's Vesta Beef Curry and rice:eek

It looked like gravy browning with lumps in. You just poured boiling water on it.

It was delish at the time though.
