Lucky Charms

Still on the shelf here in Canada. My kids have about 1 box a year, say that they are cr*p and toss them. Then about a year later, they magically find their way into the trolley and the cyle repeats.

Never understood the appeal.

Pretzel Flipz - chocolate covered pretzels. Think they were nestle and they came in a blue foil packet.

They're still big in the US but they never really kicked off here, they took them off the market after about a year. They came in white and milk chocolate coverings and they were really nice!

Anyone remember (i think it was called) a Nutty bar? Chewy toffee covered in peanuts - ripped the insides of your mouth apart, but hey I was only about 5 when I remember eating them when my Granny took me to the cinema. Never to be seen again (that and my Sweep glove puppet which I also dropped in the cinema and some b*****d stole). Not that I am bitter!

Old el Paso Enchillada Sauce
not to be confused with the sauce they are selling at the moment. Its no were near as good as the old sauce.
The old one was as close to truly authentic mexican flavour as you could get. I love cooking and rarely use jars of sauce but this one was better flavour than I could get.
The new one is just like every other mexican sauce on the market and I can do better.
I did a desperate scrabble round all the shops buying up old stock when I realised how bad the new stuff was and now Im all out of it and its just a lovely mouthwatering memory!!

There was another one in a clear wrapper or maybe, that's how they were originally wrapped.

Feel your pain about Sweep
I had Sooty AND Sweep and they went AWOL, though my mother denied everything!

On the Australian Sweets section of www.cybercandy.co.uk there is a Chocolate bar called Cadbury's Snack.

It's not the version we have here and I believe it is basically a repackaged Bar Six, take a look

What about 1970's Vesta Beef Curry and rice:eekI know!

I just LOVED it.

Also Cremola Foam - my brothers and I used to fight over it as one tin didn't go that far and we were seriously rationed!

Summer would not have been summer without frozen orange Jubblies.

We used to freeze Milky Ways and Mars Bars as well to make them last longer although you risked breaking your teeth on them - this was long before the ice cream chocolate bar revolution.

I used to have a real thing for XL Beef Barbecue crisps at school.

We had a tuck shop round the corner from the school and instead of the god awful school dinners we used to buy a foot long french stick with marg and spam in it then used to fill it with the XL crisps.

We called them '*Sav Buns' (*short for savage, as that's what we ate like!)

Healthy eating ot what?!?

Light and crispy wafer plus
Roast nut flavour too."

Good grief. I cannot believe that jingle just jumped into my head after all these years.

Banjos were fantastic.
Never mind bringing back Wispas, they should bring back Banjo and Nutty bars.
