Why is BB2 not 16:9!? |

BB2 is currently Channel 4's flagship programme, and it is not being filmed in 16:9. Why on earth not!?

It's probably to do with the fact that are too many cameras involved with Big Brother. A widescreen camera isn't the same as a 'normal' camera.

The fact that it isn't in 16:9 is because the small remote control cameras do not come in a 16:9 build. The hand-held Hitachi's will probably quite easily swap to 16:9 (they are the same as tthe old house ones), but due to the amount of those small remote cameras which are not capable.
Itwould also cut off too much of the picture and make the programme look weird by converting the se cameras from 4:3 to 16:9. |
