First post in this sub-forum - so be gentle

Also I'm asking for a friend so the question is second hand too!

1. He's got a T-Mobile Phone with pre-pay facilities

2. He's bought a second phone (SIM Free).

3. He wants to join 02 and they have given him a new sim for the second phone with a temporary number.

4. He is in the course of porting the number across.

If he charges up the temporary number will the credit on that number be transferred over to the ported number from T-Mobile when the transfer takes place.

Thanks.

(hope that makes sense)

i recently bought an orange myx6 and ported my umber across from t-mobile. so for 7 days i had a temporary number. i asked orange what would happen if i registered text saver before i transfered the number, and also with an e-top up card. he said that all my credit on my temp number and the text saver would be transfered to my new number, and they were. so i can only assume that o2 would do the same thing. hope this helps.

it should all be fine. But i suggest if your friend has an online O2 account that he waits until after the number has been ported to add significant amounts of credit. This is because if there is a problem then you'll have to ring that 50p a minute number and that is more hassle than it is worth.

If he just has a normal o2 simcard from a retailer then there shouldn't be a problem i don't think. The account number will still be the same, all that is changing is the actual phone number.
