From yesterday's News Of The World magazine comes news of Alex Sibley's appearance in an episode of Sky One's 'Fear Factor' to be screened this coming October. All shot in South America.

Alex is fearless. He can be seen walking across giant poles some thirty-five feet off the ground, taking part in survival-type challenges with a glass box full of snakes & rats on his head and then risking great danger in an underwater challenge !

And all for charity ! What a hero ! What a star !

Thx for posting that Eejay, I can't wait to see that on tv, I bet it will make great viewing.

There is also a piece on this on the Alex website, it mentions he did one of the challenges in '24 seconds, a full minute quicker than the stuntmen who test out all the challenges'.

Alex was very quick on the obstacle challenge in BB3 as I remember.
Can anyone confirm that he has an A level in Sports as well , only that bit of information comes back to me too.

No, it was about making money for charity ! Something that Alex does a lot of & which partly explains the depth of the affection held for him by his fans !

"Alex makes the terrifying pole run look easy. He did it in just 24 seconds - a full minute faster than the stuntmen who test out all the challenges. 'That's the way, aha.aha,I like it!' "

Wow - that's less than a third of the time of the stuntmen and just look at that height.................

I understand from it that they were not paid for this, it was for charity.

I think you'll find the proceeds from celebrity reality tv invariably go to charity. I haven't seen Fear Factor, but it sounds very similar to "I'm a celebrity get me out of here", where Tony Blackburn, Fash and co. did pretty similar stuff with rats, orrible bugs, water and great heights, if you didn't watch.

Call me cynical, but I think for most celebs that do these things, they are pretty B to C list, and their main motivation is to boost their flagging carriers, or to try boost them into the limelight in the first place, not to raise money for charity - although I'd be a total cynic to say it's true of all of them.

Perhaps such should be renamed "I'm desperate to stay a celebrity, keep me in here" (ok, not that great, anyone got a better one? )

OH FFS! yes caps are needed cos im pissed off! you guys are making alex out to be some sort of god because he took part in a "charity" version of fear factor. might i remind you that its all a piss poor attempt at raising his status, i mean if he was offered to do the weakest link then he would have done that instead. hes not the only celebrity to take part in a show in which the prize money was going to charity! alex is not a god in any way, neither is he a good person! so can we please stop all of this "omg alex is such a saint" gimmick since its making me sick! alex is just cameron with a slimmer body!

Alex is neither a god nor a saint, but why do you say he is not a good person? He strikes me as a very decent person. In any case, what he has done here is quite an achievement and, if a charity benefits, that has to be a good thing.

PS I wonder if those who have called Alex a wimp in the past would have attempted this feat.

its the sheer fact that in the house he was moaning constantly, yes for a good reason but still in not a good manner. now he has come out of the house an has been accused of shouting at a homeless guy for selling the big issue! now u may claim that it was a set up but the same thing is happening with cameron on the "loses it shock" topic! i cant comprehend how alex gets away with treating people like shit and yet cameron has 1 person sticking up for him! its all based on looks and i think thats the most stupid reason ever! alex's only thing in life that supports him is his looks through modeling and now through peoples fan base due to his looks!

I don't think anyone is claiming Alex is a saint but he seems like a decent enough guy and if he's prepared to do something like this for charity fair play to him.

So you are Pissed off, TOUGH, we don't bow down to you on this forum, and if some of us are happy to see Alex back on our screens and doing something worthwhile for charity, why shouldn't we be. I don't think anyone said Alex was a god in this thread, are you puting your own slant on it ?

How do you know what Alex has been offered on tv or turned down for sure ? You don't, so stop living up to your name and making stupid remarks. You also have no reason to claim Alex is not a good or bad person unless you are going to back that accusation up with a reasonable explaination as to why .

Alex is not Cameron with a slimmer body, now you really have lived up to your name, as that was one of the stupidest remarks you have made on here, and there's me thinking you were making some good posts lately, looks like you have reverted back to type.

susann i never meant to offend you and im sorry if i have done but what im tryin to get across is the fact that alex is hyped up on this forum and for what reason? ok hes done a show for charity but doesnt kate lawler work for a radio station that funds some of the biggest charity events? as for alex being a slimmer cam, thats my opinion! both moaned and were distant from the group because they had different ideas of how to have fun, also this is in reference to the incident where alex yelled at the guy selling the big issue! it may have been a set up by the papers but he still bit back and slagged the guy off telling him to get a proper job! (as if alex has one) what alex has done for charity is good and im not knocking the fact that it is, but there are much better people in the world (even in bb) like craig phillips! yes he was planning to give the money away but still that is a charitable thing to do!

These are your reasons for calling Alex a bad person.

Alex moaned in the bb house, yes, they all did, unless you have proof to the contrary. At least most of the time Alex had good reason to moan, and he did not moan constantly, another Stupid3001 remark from yourself.

Have you bothered to read any of the earlier threads, as if you had, you would know vincent got in touch and posted a reply from the Big Issue people on the aforementioned incident. I suggest you do a search and read the posts, before posting about the Big Isuue incident again. Also your remark about Alex's looks and fanclub, save people on here having to keep repeating themselves, do a search before posting such shallow remarks, as you do yourself no favours.

If you are too lazy or Stupid as your name suggests, I will be more than happy later if I have the time to find some posts referring to Alex's fanbase etc.

Lastly, you don't like Alex, fair enough, I'm sure his fan's can live with that.

You have in no way offended me, I don't mind people posting negative facts about Alex, as I'm sure no one on here does, it gives us something to debate, not everyone can be a fan of Alex. It's the reason's you cited that I was replying to. It is clear you are not an Alex fan, nobody disputes that, but many of us on this forum seem to be, and if you are going to accuse us of being fan's of Alex based solely on his looks , ( his looks are just a bonus ) then that is rather shallow of you. And if you feel like knocking Alex, fair enough, but for doing something for charity, well that is a bit low of you.
