At times I have shared your concerns about Kate, She should not take on so much, when Alex (Sibley) is desperate for good TV work. All it takes if for Kate to say "I'm sorry I really haven't got time to host your three hour live program, but how about Alex (oooh thats disgusting) Sibley"

Alex must be furious that his "friend" Kate does not do this. (This is the only problem I have with Kate, perhaps I'm biased because I'm a BIG Alex fan, I just don't know)

Kate fans may think people watch to see her - well they do - to see the stooge to Ian who never disappoints - the best entertainment on at that time.
If you don't watch, at least read the threads eh? It's not all there as we can't keep up but much of it is.

of course I read the threads but so much of what is printed about Kate is just half truthes from females who don't know how to deal with a crush on another woman, or some Alex (Sibley) fans who feel it is their duty to attack the person who "beat" him all those months ago.

The fact (which is self evident) is that Kate is a fantastic preseneter but people slag her off becasue she is so popular with young and old, straight and gay, and male and female

I regulaly watch Kate (not every day), and one things for sure, her future is bright.

Personally this Pilot Show doesnt sound very funny to me, not the kinda show i'd normally wanna watch.

To be honest i dont think its all that great for Alex, it hurts his credibility and not the kind of show he should associate himself with. Coz its based on ridicule, viewers are invited to laugh at, not with. Plus rather snide overtones too, I mean even the title of the fake show they did for him - "out of the closet" - is making a suggestive reference thats maybe a bit uncalled for

I guess its kinda difficult for Alex or any of the celebs to refuse permission to screen it, otherwise they get accused of being up their a*** and lacking selfhumour, so they were pretty much obliged.
David Seaman was the only exception plainly because he was able to find a reasonable excuse (his family was filmed too), we know that was just a handy excuse because apparently they offered to cut them from the footage and he still refused.

btw for the record i liked Alex during bb3, he was funny and and he shoulda won it.
It'd be nice to see him do well in tv, but he needs to be on tv more regularly to maintain general viewing public like me's interest in him, and in a decent show thats suitable, not something crappy like this Pilot Show thing.

I agree with everything you have said here, although I love watching Alex on tv, and think he is great in most stuff he chooses to appear on, this was not one of his better choices. I think I would rather forget this one and probably won't bother watching or taping it, especially as Tamara has already oblidged with the clip on here.

I will just wait in anticipation for fear factor now.

Although an Alex fan, like yourself if I think he has made a bad choice I will say so, unlike a few dedicated Kate fan's on here who no matter how awful Kate is on tv, they can't find it in themselves to admit it, and would rather keep wearing those rose-tinted specs.

Unfortunatly, rather like the GOTCHA's that used be on a few years ago the victims really have no choice about apppearing in these type of programmes...
and I believe many members of the public were also duped.

I think the best any of them could do was to see the funny side and move on..and thats what most people seem to have done, not a nice feeling to know you've been tricked, but not the end of the world either

BTW Deaddog I am an Alex "fan " and I feel no need to attack Kate, I don't watch RI:SE only because it's on at an awkward time for me, but I take no pleasure in anybody's downfall and say good luck to anyone who does well, whether I like them or not!

DEADDOG, I really do appreciate just how BIG a fan you are of Alex (Sibley), but try not to let that divert your attention away from Kate and her problems. If you think Kate could get through a sentence that is 22 words long (even if she was reading it from her trusty clipboard) without making a dog's breakfast of it, I'm afraid you overestimate her abilities. Besides, we all know that Kate doesn't remember even her best 'friends' for more than a couple of weeks. The poor girl's memory is clearly no better than her intellect or her knowledge. Even on Friday, when Iain Lee asked Kate who had come third in the game that she had won, she said, with misplaced confidence, 'Jade.'

Kate was referring to the true third place.

Going by the bizzare mix of stuff that Alex has done since last year I don't think he's the one that's making the choices, I think his agent tells him where to go and Alex does it.
Some might say that jumping around doing a variety of stuff was good experience for Alex and they're probably right but I think a year is long enough to know which direction you want to go in and stand up to to your agent and tell him what you want to do.

Btw wasn't there supposed to be another 4 episode series of Off The Hook imminent, reported on here some time ago? Any news on that?

Everyone remembers the Gold medal winners but the Silver and Bronze also rans are very rarely remembered.

If that's the case, then what was the true first place then, was that Alex's, I think so.

I really don't know about another series of 'Off the hook'. I think it was Eejay who mentioned it on here.

The only thing I have read is an article a few weeks back in the NOTW supplement, where Alex stated he was in talks about a new car programme.

Alex Sibley is/was crap on whatever naff TV show his agent has chosen for him to appear on.

He came 3rd in BB3 because he is a wuss. He is not getting any TV work because he is a wuss. There lies the truth!.

It's Alex and his fans who will never get over how Kate nominated him every week, beat him into 3rd place and having the good sense to distant herself from him when she heard and saw the nasty, spitful behavour he became known for in the B3 house.

But you talk about Alex much more than you do your beloved Kate, you visit his website on a regular basis scanning for the latest news, and woe betide anyone who isn't quick enough with the latest Alex news, they get the sharp end of your tongue. you can't get Alex out of your head.

maybe he should get better agents? its their job to protect him by checking offers out properly first before putting them to him, they failed here

Edit - I don't think the agent as such should be blamed as many of them seem to have fallen for this and at the end of the day good on the subjects for allowing it to be screened.
On the other hand, the title of the programme rings immediate bells and maybe that alone should have made the Agent wary had they been sufficiently diligent.
