Frank Bruno's laugh, wasn't that scarey.
”

The bit with Alex was one of the show's weaker moments, though that wasn't particularly Alex's fault.

Frank Bruno on Celebrity Advice Bureau was, by contrast, pant-wettingly funny. Likewise the bit where they got the Lapdance Island applicants to do a lapdance for the (male) producer.

I thought it was very funny....far from making Alex look stupid..to me it showed how funny he can be

I didnt think I was going to laugh at any of this show, but it was so daft, I just couldnt help it, as for being a career maker or breaker...I hardley think so.... it was just a little bit of fun

He was a total embarrassment, how you as a fan can happily watch Alex (Sibley) make an arse of himself is beyond me. If no one tells him how foolish he was, he'll make the SAME mistakes again and again! I am I the only Alex fan who wants him to have a successful career and not to be stuck doing crappy satellite shows and doing "guest" appearances on crappy shows?

I know I must respect all posters here, and I do, but it is making me really angry that Alex career is now effectively on the same level as Jonnys, but I cant help but feel that the attitude expressed by some posters here is exactly the same attitude that has destroyed his career to date.

Look at Kate, she doesn't have a load of hangers on and sycophants telling her "what she wants to here", instead she has proper advisors, who would say "jumping out of a closet will make you look stupid, don't do it)
”

I don't think Alex was a total embarrasment at all, I wasn't going to watch, as I did think it would show Alex in such a bad light. But there were loads of celebrities taken in on this scam, and it doesn't seem to have effected them, so why pick just Alex out ?I thought he was going to be ridiculed merciously on it, but he wasn't, he took it in fun, like most did, and he wasn't even on there that long anyway. Although I would rather he hadn't appeared on it, he did, and there is no going back now, and it didn't turn out as bad as I thought it would. So we will have to just put this down to a bad choice on Alex's part and leave it at that, nothing else we can do.

Of course I would like to see Alex with his own show, and I'm sure we will, but don't compere him to that clown Jonny, who hasn't even got an ounze of talent in his little finger. As for Kate, she may be making money and self induced headlines, but careerwise, being given shows that are falling dead on their feet like RI:SE and TOTF's isn't my idea of good career choices, if she isn't careful, she could soon be yesterday's news.

This is an artical from my local evening paper: (Maybe Tamara can get a link).
Writen by Victor Lewis Smith on last nights Pilot Show.
He says in the artical:
' Channel 4's previous ventures into hoaxing have often been successful. Trigger Happy TV pulled off some delightedfully surreal stunts with genuinely bemused celebrities, while The Mark Thomas Comedy Product (although never knowningly funny) at least used weak practical jokes to expose government hypocrisy, but The Pilot Show has no humour and no purpose, so it humiliates and demeans without reason or justification.

There are plenty of people who work in television who do
deserve such treatment, such as the legion of self-important commissioning editors at all channels.
The BBC's increasingly absurd Alan Yentob, or the appalling bully Ruby Wax, whose face (wont get out of mine) has the permanent look of a bulldog licking piss from a nettle, but let's not give airtime to the likes of Toyah Willcox or Narinda and her fellow refugees from BB:
Frankly, they are not even house-hold names in their own households and are simply suffering from a severe case of mistaken nonentity'.

well i maybe wouldnt class myself as an alex "fan"... but no. He's a good guy and deserves to have a successful career in whatever. Even if his tv career doesnt work out, personally i think it'd be nice to see him come back to modeling.

In fact i think that might even be better for his image, redevelop a classy image credibility, appear back in upmarket fashion mags, campaigns and shows. Break away from the tacky downmarket celeb gossip mags and BB associations.

if i was someone with his best interests at heart, what concerns me more that the dupe, is that his agents evidently seem to think it was suitable for him. Which suggest they're happy to market his image downmarket, and i think thats wrong for him

Fair play to him though, I saw the pilot show and I thought he handled it very well.

I wouldn't mind seeing Alex as a client in The Salon, I'm sure he'd be good fun in there.

I wonder if he's in the line up for today's record breaking bikini waxing thing?

See!...................I can do positive Alex posts.
