Samsung or LG.. Which is best ?
I am about to buy a 37" LCD tv. I have struggled to find a TV as I am on a budget and have seen some 37" tv's from as little as £360. However, I dont really know the manufacturers of these and they tend to look ugly.
I have settled on either LG or Samsung for what I want. Now it's time to make the final decision and I was wondering if anyone has experience of buying an LCD tv from these manufacturers and what was the sound or picture like? Thanks |

Samsungs are a decent compromise between price and good picture quality. Having bought both a Samsung and a LG recently for family members, I was disappointed with the picture on the LG through the AV1 scart using Sky as a source. So much so I initially thought the settings on the Sky box were wrong.

I would buy Samsung over LG as I have found them more reliable and slightly better quality - the Samsung quality is good but does not match to the Panasonic's or high-end Sony's but these cost more

Do a little research into your TV's - I bought a Teco Tv (Never heard of them) due to reviews and the fact it's basically a re-badged Samsung.
It's absolutely brilliant with great picture quality and connectivity like you you wouldn't believe (2 x HDMI, 2 x SCART, 1 x SVID, 1xComponent, 1xComposite, 2xRF, 1 x VGA + built in freeview). The 360 and PS3 look astonishing on it in 1080p ![]() The equivalent Samsung branded one was £200 more!

You're still sprouting the same utter rubbish, even the low-end Sony's are made to a similar standard as the high-end ones and are exceptionally reliable.
