88020 inserting messages into BT callback

I keep hearing my phone ring, and BT callback tells me I have a new message (even though I have been home). It then switches me to my 1571 message service.

When I play back the message, it is an SMS text-to-speech asking me to text to 88020 if I want a new job or summer job in construction etc.

This is really irritating, as I've gotten callbacks 4 times in the last two hours for the same 88020 w'nkers.

Anyone know what this is about, or how to stop it?

To stop receiving any (and all) 'text to speech' calls on your BT residential landline, you need to call 0800 587 5252 from the line that you want to stop receiving text to speech messages on.

An explanatory message is played and then you'll hear a number of 'curfew' options (Option 5 is to switch the facility off completely).

Hmmm... That nukes all SMS-to-voice though, doesn't it?

What I'd really like to do is to send a rocket to whomever keeps sending me these messages every 1/2 hour (7 calls so far).

More info:

From: 88020

Message: blah blah summer jobs, blah blah connexions, blah blah summer links team, blah blah:
-- text 'interested' and your name to 0750 008 3474, blah blah blah

( Not sure about how many zeroes in the phone number as it goes by so fast and in "computer voice" )

HELP ! anyone ?
