Darnell's letter was from a friend and a not too close one at that whilst everyone else got letters from home.

The explanation seems to be a/c darnell, is that when he signed up for BB, as he had only been in England for about 18 months he didn't have many close friends here yet and had just given details of people here to come to his eviction or wtte.

the poster basically said that if Darnell were a nicer person and spent less time wallowing in self-pity, he might make some genuine friends!!!

Darnell is very upset that he didn't get a letter from his family.....I would have thought that any producer with half a brain would have realised what had happened and contacted his family direct.

Someone has to hold on to Darnell now. Kat, Rex & Rachel are the only ones who can help him if Mo can't. He is going to blow a gasket. BB could have rung his mother and asked her for a quote. They could have got her to email a message just to put him at ease. They will lose one of the three biggest characters left if they don't do something.

Dare not say this on the open forum cos it got quite horrible out there but I do think the producers, now that they have realised Darnell's mistake, could email his mom and just call him to the DR quietly to give him even just a short message. Think the psychologist would go along with that....he really feels lonely and left out

I didn't hear his letter being read out - was it really as impersonal as he's making out?

Didn't hear it either but the others (apart from Sara) got letters from close family. Think Darnells letter was from someone at the studio who is a friend but not a close friend. He desperately wants to hear from his mom!

No bad feeling at all. He said when he signed up for the show he only gave names of people he knew in england for contact and to come to his eviction! Don't think he thought about letters from home, etc. His family and most of his close friends are in the US and I presume he thought that they would not be able to come to the UK at the end of the show etc. He just misread things, I think!
