Connection question (Newbie)

Hope the following makes sense:

I have a Panasonic DVDR (DMR-E85H). On the back it has 2 scarts, AV1 (TV) and AV2 (Decoder/EXT. It also has two rows of red/white/yellow sockets, labelled "Out" and "AV4 in".

The VCR is a Sony SLV-F900UX. It has 2 scarts also, Line 1 (TV) and Line 3 (IN). On the front it has red/white/yellow sockets labelled Line 2.

What should be the connections if I want to transfer tapes from VCR to DVDR, and what should the settings be on each machine's display?

Anyone know these things?

Regards

Hi Pat, is the second scart on the vcr just line in, or is it in/out, this then would be the connection to the scart 2 on the panny. If not check your hand book for the second out connection on the vcr and connect this to either the scart 2 or the r/w/y connectors.

To avoid complications , the simplest connection of all would be a scart from the VCR TV out scart socket to AV2 of the E85H ... which would be certain to work.
