I'm thinking of getting an i touch and I've some questions I can't seem to find answers for. I would be grateful for your advice.

1. Can you use the i touch with your wireless router ( Virginmedia) and is it easy to set up?

2. How common are wifi "hotspots"?

3. Can I use my existing and expensive Klipsch speakers with an i touch?

4. Finally which one do I get, I currently have a 30G, 2 hyr old ipod? Do I need a new ipod?

1 - yes. It's easy to set up, even if your router has a password.

2 - for me, not that common. Places I've got wireless from though include library, university campus, Nero's (not used though, you need a The Cloud subscription), Wetherspoons/Lloyds (free BBC website access, including iplayer - for other sites, you have to have a The Cloud subscription), National Express train

Note: I don't have it myself, but The Cloud do a £3.99 a month special iPod touch subscription. Tempting. http://www.thecloud.co.uk/page/3615

3 - if they work with your current iPod, they'll work with the touch

4 - I'd get a new one. Storage is up to you, your requirements and what you can afford.

Or: "and I'm being picky, so it's iPod Touch not itouch"
I fully agree with the pickiness though.

the touch comes with dock adapters and to me they look no bigger or smaller than the previous generation dock adapters so just get the right adapter out the box and put it in the dock and your iPod Touch is ready to go

I have 3 different iPod docks which I bought when I had a 5th gen iPod all work, though the video out capability on my tv through my onkyo dock. If they have a remote some of the features may not work but a very minor issue

McDonalds have free wi-go at most of their restaurants which is useful if you are out and about, just stand outside and pick up your emails . Or pop in for a coffee

If you want to store video get a 32gb and if you are going on holiday abroad this year buy it from Dixons at the airport tax free prices £280 you won't find it any cheaper

I love my iPod touch

Ps just wrote this post on it the auto correct on the touch screen keyboard is ace!!

No hol for me this year and with euro rate all I hear are my friends complaining. So splashed out on I Pod Touch 32gb. Delighted with it so far but don't fancy standing in the rain outside mcDs.
Only prob I have found is that I downloaded some applications but can't work out how to delete them. Any ideas? Have read some posts elsewhere mentioning installer. No idea where this is.

just press and hold any application button, and then they will all 'wobble' you can then delete any by pressing the 'x' and also move them around to different places/'desktops'
