I'm currently with T-Mobile on a flext 25 contract, with a sony ericsson w810i, which is due up soon.

I'm looking to get a blackberry curve as my next phone, but this is not available as any of the upgrades they've offered to me.

Should I just cancel my current contract when it runs out and open a new one for the blackberry or is there any other way i can do this?

this is my first contract phone so i'm a little confused....any help would be greatly appreciated!

The only problem with closing your account and opening a new one is you would have to change your mobile number. Have you been in to one of there stores to speak to someone? Looking at the t-mobile site i can't understand why you can't get the blackberry curve with your current account, you may have to upgrade your price plan to one of their flext + blackberry ones but i see no reason why you'd have to close your current account, when i was last due an upgrade i just upgraded my price plan and got the phone i wanted. Hope this helps.

You should be able to upgrade to any phone in their range, but not all of them will be free especially on a £25 per month tariff.

Sorry should have put, the blackberry curve is free on all the flext + blackberry plans which start at £30, it doesn't seem to be provided on just the flext plans, which is understandable, if you're getting blackberry chances are you'll want to make full use of all the features on it which you can only do with the blackberry plans.
