How about Game Mode? I turned it on when connected via HDMI to my PS3 and noticed the picture goes duller and has less colour. Its suprising as i thought it should improve the picture.

probably the thinking behind it is lower contrast on likely possibility of static images (score counter, status bars, etc.) to prolong screen life / reduce screen burn or should I say image retention

The Game mode bypasses most of the TV picture processing so you don't experience any noticeable timelag when playing games.
