For iPhone v1 and v2 running latest 2.0 firmware.

Mines v2 (3G) and ive experienced the following with this new firmware:

Instead of smooth scrolling its stuttery esp. the passcode, also slide to unlock sometimes doesn't slide, but does unlock.

Delayed keypad when txting or entering info on websites

When you hold the phone to your ear during a call the screen is supposed to turn off, mine sometimes gets confused and works in vice versa!

Random volume symbol appears during web browsing/listening to music

Yellow screen - possibly not a bug but mines better since i restored.

Thankfully these bugs/glitches dont happen that often but im looking forward to the next update to sort them!

Has anyone else experienced these?

Mine today refused to access e-mail/internet despite showing a 2G signal. The dot in the square icon was missing. A power-cycle cured it.

That's the only issue I've had. Hope to get all the teething issues fixed in 2.0.1 soon!

My battery seemed poor when i first got it but its getting better, sounds odd but its true! I listen to music on my way to work which is an hour, then browse the net, make a few calls send a few txts etc and it uses half the battery by the time i get in.
My first iphone used to last about 3 - 4 days so once ive stopped playing around with the new one and just start to use it normally i would expect 3 days out of it.

If you have got a 3G iPhone and haven't performed a restore I strongly advise that you do, because you'll actually get a slightly newer version of the firmware which reportedly has some extra bug fixes in it (it definately has a fix for the screen colours).

The text delay definately is better after a restore to the more recent firmware

I got a 3G iPhone on Friday and am very happy with it although have also been experiencing a few glitches, namely...

- Screen freezing - happened about 6 times since last Friday - have to hold down sleep/wake and home button to reset

- Very slow response (10secs+) when accessing certain screens especially contacts, eg when trying to add one to a text message

- A couple of times calls have come in and the screen says 'slide to answer' but then doesn't respond

Was wondering if it was worth sending it back for a new one - or do you reckon these are just bugs that Apple will sort out with a software update?

They're software bugs, apparently Apple are already working on the next update (and have been since before the iPhone was released) so it's shouldn't be too long to wait.

Just re battery life:

It's fair to say that you need a few cycles to get the full performance out of it, they always quote 3 but i'd say more. But the main thing to me would be that when you get a new phone you can't stop playing with it. lighting up that screen is a killer.

The contacts screen freezing affects all iPhone 2.0 users and is incredibly annoying as v1 didn't have this issue.

My phone froze yesterday and no buttons reponded. Needed a complete restart.

Also I keep losing reception.

Anyone know what that random volume symbol is when browsing the web?

I don't have an iPhone, but an iPod Touch with 2.0 and have seen it a couple of times,
although, i have seen it on the last 1.x software too.

Mine keeps freezing but only when using the phone. The screen goes black and none of the buttons work at all. It's somewhat irritating when you have called someone and can't end the call or speak or do anything except wait. And wait.
Eventually it times out and the locked screen comes on.

Next time put your thumb over the earpiece and the screen should come on, mine does this, its the screen lock getting all confused

Seems like a lot of problems with this phone. Did Apple get Sony Ericsson to make it for them?

Interesting... especially this:

"Ability to take screen-capture by holding Home and clicking Sleep/Wake"

Excellent little feature!! Saves the screen in your camera roll

Another tip you can turn Caps lock on by double clicking shift, but for some reason it needs enabling in the keybaord settings first.
