Phone Company service charges
ney

Why is it that some phone companies like BT and Talk Talk offer cheap calls then there service charges always seem to be more than what the cost of your calls come to. I got my BT bill in this morning and for the 3 months I only made just over £6 worth of calls as I use Broadband Talk some evenings and at weekends. Yet the service charges come to nearly £80.
Ok I do pay my BT broadband though the phone bill but taking that off services charges are still over £40.
I pay £5 a week with the BT payment card so when bill comes in nearly all the bill has been payed for.

Line rental covers the continued upkeep of your line.

You'll get cheaper service if paying by direct debit.

You can get cheaper broadband and maybe route some calls elsewhere.

However the telephone side, it's unlikely you'll get much lower due to the cost of the upkeep of the line.
