My son as managed to break his K800i , his contract is up for renewal soon so will see whats offered by Three as a replacement

But for now I have loaned him a spare W850i unlocked Ex Orange phone

The sim works fine no problem , however the Wap settings are incorrect

I used this which worked last time with no problem as the K800i was an Ex 02 phone

However this time after entring the Uk , Three and his phone number a Text arrives and I input the pin code (given on screen as part of the registration )


We receive the text and settings , accept them but then try to use wap and we get

" Connection failure"

Anyone help ?

what it sounds like you have done is allowed the settings to be installed but you havent activated them - you will need to go into the wap settings and activate the three settings on the phone.

This may or may not work
go into the menu, goto to settings (bottom right - spanner) scroll across to connectivity and down to internet settings and select. select the three settings and activate.

Hopefully that should work, if not, try calling three or take the phone into a store for help.

That worked , I just have to figure out how to get a quick access or hot key , he only wants it for checking his balance remaining
