I ordered a 16GB iphone on release day in a Carphone Warehouse shop in person. I was told I would have it by the latest on the following Monday and it would be delivered to the shop for me to collect. I had an official invoice confirming this delivery date and a contract was signed. I was then phoned on the Monday and told that this would not happen and I would have towait at least a week to get my phone. Last night I received a first bill from O2 even though I have yet to receive my phone. When I visit the shop I was just told this morning that I will still not get my phone until next Friday and even ths was not confirmed. I thought this was ridiculous and cancelled my order. Has anybody else ordered a 16GB iPhone on release day last week and actually recieved a phone? Are there 16GB phones anywhere?

Believe it or not I still want to get an iPhone. What is the best place in London to go and actually get a phone in person? Are there any stocks of 16GB iPhones available?

I hope you got a refund from O2, I thought u needed to activate the phone first to start the ball rolling on billing?

I never even saw a phone and I received a bill from O2. I have cancelled the direct debit and I did get a £20 cheque from CPW, although I have yet to see this. It is in post.

Is it worth going to an Apple store today? Is it already too late, the online checker says try again this evening after 9.00. The O2 shop in Cheapside is listed as having them I may try there. Has anybody gotten a 16GB iphone from an Apple or o2 store this week?

Apple store in London has stock. Two O2's in London (Oxford St) also have stock. So you have three stores within a mile or so of central London who are claiming to have stock, so fingers crossed you'll be able to pick one up in London.

I got the black 16gb on Tuesday from the Apple store in Regent Street, they had plenty of stock but had to queue for ages, I did get there after 5pm though.

ordered the 16gb at around 930 am on release date
promised for monday, got it on monday.

Carphone Warehouse, Streatham, South London. O2 shop is next door.

my local o2 store sitill has 4 in stock (8gb). My fiancee managed to upgrade over the phone this morning at carphone warehouse, originally told would be here tomorrow, then they called & said tuesday... if we were to go tp the o2 shop & upgrade there, would it let us as we upgraded this morning but will probably cancel it if can upgrade at the store?

It usually shows you the stock in each Apple store on that page, but now it says you can check availability after 9pm, presumably after the stores have closed for the day.
