I'm sure there's some out there. Sad thing is the last Christian who talked sense, in my opinion, was wandering around Jerusalem 2,000 years ago.

My dislike of the many churches out there is no secret.
”

fair enough, mrs skaz is a christian, but she's really nice tho'... she doesn't go to church (much)... but her dad (the vicar) is a really nice bloke.
cameron, in my opinion is like no christian should ever be.

the guy who lives opposite us is an "evangelical" christian, works for a christian charity... never mind that he has 2 cars, a huge house, and has just finished making a nice decking verandah on the back, while playing happy clappy god music at maximum volume while he worked.
some people just don't seem to get the "message" right.

I'm never keen on those who can't speak for themselves and have to have a book/crutch to lean on before they espouse anything meaningful.”

Here all this time I thought you were leaning on a dictionary, maisymoo, or maybe you're choking on one
**janie, trained medical professional, performs the Heimlich manouver on maisymoo***

Seriously, though, I'VE had to consult my dictionary for a few posts even if no one else has...but that's my problem

The incomparably sussed Edna, and incandescent Maisymoo, and gentle Skazza and philosophical Meso, it is, as ever, a pleasure to be in total agreement with eveything you say.
Cameron is a skuzz bucket, and such bad PR for those of us for whom the sermon on the mount tells all there is to be said about living life lovingly and joyfully, and realistically, and with tolerance.

Well put, Godot. I agree completely. I get a little het up when people think believing in the bible is some form of crutch. Not all Christians interpret the bible literally-ESPECIALLY the Old Testament. I think Cameron's interpretation has done more harm to churches and alienated people even further. The sermon on the mount is about tolerance and loving one another. Maybe the powers that be will read forums like these and see the light? I live in hope.

I've said this before, though, everyone forms opinions based on things they've read--it's one of life's lessons...

It's simple. Pick Cameron as your role model and you the perfect excuse for your own homophobia, violent tendencies, misogyny, greed....... ”

100% true. Lame excuses for bad behaviour, the perfect role model if you are like that.

Ptooee!! Spits out dictionary! Gawd that's better!! Damn thing lodged in me throat!
I liked that! Very funny!
I get the point though and I don't think Cameron's a good advert for beer, never mind any religion!
I think one of the reasons this years BB was so dull compared to previous ones is that the HMs all got on for the most part so well. I thought that they were a pretty good bunch of people, undertaking what I'd perceive to be the best analogy to Christian beliefs, they really did look out for each other.
That would disappoint Endemol, people getting on, and probably us a bit, from a "lets have some action" perspective.

Talking of this year if I was to be quickly asked who epitomised each years BB I'd say (quickly):

BB1 Nasty Nick
BB2 Brian
BB3 Jade
BB4 Tickle/Cameron (so he stands out doesn't he?)

That's how I'd remember the salient bits of each in a word.
A very short word.

Glad to be of help, ma'am! I find myself defending Cam's fans far too much on this forum! (I know my post count is measly though) I wanted Jon to win! After he was evicted, I joined this forum for solace. I no longer had the will to live so I figured I might as well volunteer to fight in the front lines with Cam's fans who WERE under seige on this forum. They were being pulverized, emulsified, homogenized, rehydrated and dehydrated,extruded....... too much bologna

Now those wily fans have all but vanished from here leaving the rest of us at each other's throats! Classic war tactic-DIVIDE AND CONQUER! THEY'RE CLEVERRRR!!!! I think I have Stockholm Syndrome

A small point...It was Cameron under seige...his fans had little to do with the faults of the person they'd decided to protect......

LOL!
I like Jon Tickle, although I would dearly love to know what happened when he went back in, I was looking forward to mental hi jinks between him and Cameron but that wasn't to be was it?
I was so teed off when he was evicted, especially who he was up against! Ahem! Not that that coloured my views or anything (Ok, it did!).
Here's a little reminder of Cameron after the Africa thing:
There's Caneron telling the whole tale (again) to a few on the settee and I just remember Nush turning to Scott repeatedly and whispering to him and then glancing back to Cameron again which she repeated loads of times. You could tell it was because Cameron was boring the posteriors off everyone and that proved to me the overall measure of politeness within the group as they were all being bored to death and didn't yawn too ostentatiously!!
I thought!

Oh alright then! In answer to the question of this thread - "Cameron Stout.....Role Model or Flawed Lout?", I would say he is a Flawed Role Model.

And no, I do not intend to be drawn into 54 pages of arguments this time!

Honest.

"He's beh-i-i-i-ind you!"

(that's Cameron once more somehow finding himself in the girls' bedroom whilst they are in a state of undress! Och, an uncanny and mennnnnnntal coincidence!!)

Aww come on people!
Cam is a tw#t and no mistake, but I can't believe that you are still going on about the freak!
I think that I prefered it when you were all singing hymns from the book of Tickle.
Cameroon is history soon to be forgotten, so don't keep dragging up the corpse, he loves it, well versed in the ways of the media as he is, he knows that any publicity is good even if it's bad. Was it Oscar Wilde that said he'd prefer to be gossiped about rather than not being mentioned at all?
So don't give the gimp any more satisfaction, the cam "supporters" are long gone (apart from one or two argumentative souls), he is a bad winner, set up by the powers that be in the vain hope of dragging out the bb franchise for a few more years (don't ask me why they thought that it was a good strategy!).
Some of the names I keep seeing here digging up the same old dirt I used to have a bit of respect for, but this is nonsense, it's sad, please get over it!

Rant over

Fair enough, if you feel that strongly about it

The only place I see Cam mentioned these days is on this forum. I don't read tabloids or buy celebrity magazines or watch tv shows which depend on z list celebs for their existence, so from my p.o.v the Sham is history and I can move on.

I think that it is high time that I ceased lurking the bb boards, it was fun while it lasted, see you all next year

Well I don't think all of us just post in this forum because we feel strongly about something,...simply more to with us being interested in certain subjects that crop up in threads.

I personally find everything external to the weeks in the house interesting in itself.
I'm not so bothered about just supporting HMs, and posting about nothing else.

I enjoy reading and taking part in threads that discuss the media, how it works, how things are promoted,...things such as that.
If I just concentrated on supporting, or slagging a HM,.I'd probably have to accept that I'm getting a bit too involved.

Until that happens, if I see a thread that could be interesting, I'll probably contribute any thoughts I have to it.

You can never tell how a thread is going to turn out.
In this thread, it gradually started to change into a discussion on how a religion is portrayed in the media, and what the ramifications are if it isn't done the right way,.does it harm the image of the religion if it isn't promoted in the right way, and sends out the wrong signals? for example.
Using Cameron as an example, can be used to talk about this very subject.
I for one think that makes a potentially good thread that is worthy of discussion.
