Cheap pay as u go camera phone
What is the cheapest one out there? looking for one for my son, ideally would like a slide phone as then he doesn't have to worry about locking the keypad before putting it in th==his pocket. Also prefer O2 network so either on that or unlocked off the shelf, are virgin phones still unlocked? Also good battery life is a must. Also size been a ten year old, it needs to fit in his pocket without been too bulky, but cheap enough so he can lose it without me worrying about having to buy another one.
Any suggestions? Please |

Something like the Nokia 5300 at £40 to £50. Or if he'll manage a flip phone the SonyEricsson Z310 at £35.

Which is the most affordable with the best photo resolution and flash and longest battery life. Can be a higher price than above but reasonably priced.
Also secondary does anyone know what internet connection will cost on the iphone once it goes under pay as you go. |

He can go for the Sony Erickson k550i £40/50 at carphonewarehouse I think it has 2.0 with cybershot technology, or if he really wants a slide Lg Chocolate? £34 at carphonewarehouse. Check out your local mobile retailer they usually have good cheap phones that are usually unlocked.
Also most SE have the "automatic lock" on them. So if he leaves his phone in standby for more than a minute? It will lock it self. |

Does he have any brand preference or his he to young at 10 ?
My son is 14 , shortly to go 15 and him and his age group seem to prefer the looks and style of SE phones and he would die if I gave him a Nokia 5300 but for a 10 year old it would suit him His current phone is a K800i his contract in the wifes name is up for renewal with Three on the 17Th September and he is already looking around at SE phones available from Three I have in the past made the mistake of getting a phone I thought he would like ( because I liked it ) Good luck |

according to the prices that briefly went up on the o2 website but were then taken down, it was free for the first 6 months and £10 per month thereafter.
