I don't. I want an honourable defeat followed by a return to form in the league.

The thought of another season in this league fills me with dread.

Well I agree the most important thing is getting out of the league we should never have been in in the first place, but a good cup run will help boost morale as well as the bank balance

This cup run is more of a distraction than anything. As for the bank balance, the money won't be invested by Bates so it isn't such an issue.

I agree let's put in a good performance & if we lose so be it.

In a strange way this is more of an achievement than the result at Old Trafford for me. I expected Tottenham to make sure they didn't become another scalp, but Leeds did really well. I think Spurs will be favourites for the replay but I'm sure Elland Road will be packed a week on tuesday for that one, and who knows a possible 'surprise' maybe

So pleased with this result. I was watching this for the first half with my granddad, who supports Man Utd, and he was very impressed with how Leeds played, constantly saying "They're not playing like a third division club!" and things like that. I thought we were done for after that second goal but bloody hell. Moments like that penalty decision are why football is the best sport in the world if you're a Leeds fan and the worst if you're a Tottenham fan. If Beckford gets us promoted after these results I don't care if he leaves on a free. Give him the key to the city.

Full credit to Spurs, btw, for any supporters of theirs checking this topic out. They were immense for the first 20 minutes and they have some REAL talents in there. I only knew Danny Rose played for Leeds once upon a time because a friend of mine described him using a VERY unkind four letter word, but he looked very lively, and Gareth Bale was also very good. Lots of skilled players there who were actually REALLY up for the game, making this in many ways a better result than the win over United, whose players didn't seem entirely awake at times.

Leeds got the level of Spurs - Stay off Crouch the lanky bastard and let him head the ball. Jenas and the whole Spurs Midfield got over-run by Howson and co - We could def beat this team in the replay- So proud of Leeds - League 1 flag stayin up

Just read this on WACCOE. Gret news if true.

By the way did anyone listen to ITVs commentry yesterday? Apparently our famous strike force was Allan Clarke and Mick Bates! And Tottenham's Argentinians were Ardilles and Kempes.

kin hell how the hell we gonna cope with this lot in One month

Spurs (H)
Hartlepool (A
Wallsall (H)
Orient/Bolton (A)
Oldham a (H)
Huddersfield (A)
Brighton (H)
Carlisle (A) jpt

And with a possible replay against Bolton that could be 8 Fixtures in 1 callender Month, and outr current squad is not big Enough to cope with that amout of Games in One Month
Really hope Sg is going to bring in at least 3 Players this week to cope with the above
