Another chance thanks to Brentford. At 5.00 today we'll either be clear in second place or fourth. I fear it will be fourth.

Come on Leeds, prove me wrong.

Just setting off for the game now, we need those 3 points today!

Should be a good crowd today anyway.

Right, so as it stands:

1. Norwich City
2. Swindon Town
----------------------
3. Millwall
4. Leeds United
5. Charlton Athletic
6. Huddersfield Town

I say, the play-offs are going to be interesting. Leeds seem physically unable to win them, and as it stands they would play Charlton in the semis, with the other being Millwall vs Huddersfield.

Who do you guys think will go up?

I think Norwich, Millwall and Leeds.

You will have to explain your logic there, as I presume you are saying Norwich/Millwall will go up automatically given the order you put them in, with Leeds winning the playoffs.

Yet you say Leeds are "physically unable" to win them??!!

I'm backing them to get over that this season.

Your assuming they will actually remain in the Top 6!

To be honest, Leeds should be the champions. I'm a Norwich fan and I don't think we deserve to win the league. We haven't got players anywhere near as good as Leeds, and we have a habit of putting in atrocious performances.

Ah well, yet another inept performance today, that's now 4 straight losses without a single game scored. Without Becchio we have no physical presence up front, and with 2 loan signings in the back 4 (plus Naylor+Hughes) our defence is awful.

Plus playing some wierd midfield diamond formation doesnt work, shame Grayson didn't change it until we were 3-0 down!

Still, it was a good crowd today, and the minutes silence before the game was impeccably observed - respect to the Swindon fans for their part in that.

Might as well start planning for another season in League 1!

Not for the first time I totally agree with your analysis.

I suspect next season will be a rerun of this with Southampton being Norwich. The mentality of the players is the issue not their ability. Let's face it Colchester and Stockport are hardly Barcelona.

Just a reminder that it was 40 years ago today that we drew the FA Cup Final with Chelsea. I have three vivid memories; the God awful pitch, the Sprake mistake and Eddie Gray's performance. If we had won the match it would have been known as the Eddie Gray Final!

As we lurch towards another major disappointment it's worthwhile reminding ourselves that we have had bigger ones!

Was only 9 in 1970, so didnt see it as i had no or very little intrest in Football at that age
but just recently i was given a copy ofthe replay and from what i saw we lost to two set pices despite dominating large parts of the Game , No change there then

The replay was an even bigger disappointment. The assault on Eddie Gray merited an arrest not just a booking.

Mick Jones' goal was brilliant though.

Gradel was the difference like the game against Yeovil. He battled for everything - Beckford was taken off after 60 mins with cheers - When Becchio came on it was like a diff team. Can't see Beckford starting another match

If you had said to me what are the chances of Finishing
2nd after the Swindon game i would have said about the same as Gordon brown being at no.10 on May 7th

Btw i see Grayson finally axed Beckford due to his recent poor form , i knew we would Win if Beckford Didnt play

Three wins in a row.

It was never in doubt. (yeah right, who am I kidding!)

Grayson should keep Beckford on the bench and bring him on for the last ten minutes as a 'super sub'.
