To be fair we've had some tough games so far - Brighton, Southampton, West Ham, Middlesborough all currently in the top 6, and if we'd been able to hold on to our lead on Friday we would have been just about in a play off spot ourselves.
Some of the games coming up in the next month should be a bit easier - Coventry and Pompy at home, Peterborough and Doncaster away. Will be interesting to see where we sit after those, I can't see us catching the top 2 this season but a play off place still isn't out of the question. Grayson hasn't been able to sort the defence out in the last 2 years though, so I don't think it will happen anytime soon.

![]() Really Simon ![]() I don't think it was any coincidence that on Saturday we had 4 defenders in their natural positions instead of using centrehalves as full backs etc as we have in pretty much every other game so far this season. Maybe we can try to get a settled defence now. Next 3 games (Doncaster, Coventry & Peterborough) should be easily winnable, will be interesting to see where we sit in a few weeks. |

Apprentley Grayson has done a Fergie (thats not speaking to BBC ) Due to a programme on Bates which is due to be screened on Look north, possibly tomorrow night , its supposed to be really digging in to his business deals, or so i am told, which is why we are getting Ian miller instead, 10 times better than Mike phelan though
Know anything about this Coen

I did notice that Grayson wasn't doing the post match interviews yesterday, I know Bates is supposed to be unhappy about the documentary but I'd not heard anything about him banning Grayson from talking to the BBC. You never know with him though.
![]() From what i've seen of Bates' programme notes this year he's always slagging off the BBC so I wouldn't be surprised if this documentary has unearthed some dodgy stuff.

Aidy White is getting better every game, going forward he linked up well with Pugh, Lees was solid in the centre, I would keep him there as he's more comfortable than at right back. I can not see many teams beating us this year, there is strength in depth in Midfield with the Finnish lads, my only concern is Connoly and O'Dea. I think we have a genuine chance of automatic promotion this year. |

I thought we looked strong all over the pitch. Keogh, Clayton, Lees and White stood out for me - controlled the game with ease. I do still feel we need a decent defender and midfielder in January. Apart from that, I'm fairly happy with our current squad.
Shame we can't play Doncaster every week. They were terrible. |

I said a few weeks back that we had a few very winnable games coming up, we've had a tough start to the season really but with a comfortable win last night, bring on Coventry on Tuesday.

You are winning 1/0 , with 10 mins left with the oppostion offering little or no threat , what do you do
1 Send on two strikers and remove the Championships leading scorer, who incidentley has scored 2 late Goals in our last 3 home games 2 Send on a defender and keep it tight at back Not rocket science is it btw, this isnt just me its a feeling all over our boards today , remember last season, away to Palace and Sheff utd, Graysons inabilty to make changes cost us, and ultimatly play off place, (along with his refusual to subsitute certain players no how bad they were playing ) |

Will be going to Peterborough on Saturday, we need a win there to get us back on track - last night was definitely 2 points dropped. |

Time for another bump!
Great result on Saturday, although we really should have had the game won comfortably long before the 95th minute after Peterborough went down to 10 men. Same old problem, we can't kill teams/games off but at least this time it didnt cost us. It was also great to go to a ground as an away fan where they still have terracing, brilliant atmostphere and complete carnage in the away end when that 95th minute winner went in. ![]() So now Birmingham away on Wednesday, as a Birmingham based Leeds supporter this is one game I've been looking forward to since the fixtures were first announced (and since they rearranged it cos of the Europa league) - I think we may struggle to get anything out of this game as Birmingham have been strong this season, but at least it will only take me 10 minutes to get home after the game.

I know it's because of Europe. I loved that winner on Saturday, Talksport presenter Adrian F--k Face Durham is a Posh supporter who hates Leeds with vengeance....he was gutted. ![]() .

Evertonian checking in to say hope you go up this year, you've worked hard over the past few seasons and deserve a trip up to the Prem.
