Also went today but remember next to nothing of it really A mix of early drinking to regain match fitness ( ) and it being ridiculously warm meant that the day was a bit of a mystery.

Really love going to Farsley though. Easy to get there from the Train Station with a good selection of pubs en route. Cheap. The stadium has a lovely 'old' feel to it, much better than copy and paste 'bowls' like the Ricoh Arena. Drinking on the terrace. And we usually win Add in the beautiful weather today and that's all that's needed really from football.

Few rumours on Twitter (I know, I know...) that we're in for Le Fondre. On the one hand, we managed to surprise everyone with the signing of Matt Smith, nobody knew about it other than those at the club and I think that secrecy dispells the rumours.

But on the other hand, it's something we're lacking desperately, a natural finisher. Talk of McCormack to Blackpool is heating up day by day and it's suspected his move may fund the hunt for Le Fondre. It's all guesswork ain't it?

Think we need:
Backup for Byram
An old head at CB
A winger on either side
A natural finisher

And we'll certainly be competing.

Good work out yesterday by sounds of it , don't take too much notice of pre season friendlys results wise more about fitness but think most got a runout yesterday seems to be a lot of optimistic fans about at the moment with the 3 signings one of them luke murphy alledged to have turned down premier league teams albit lower end to sign for us matt smith & noel hunt all useful signings as well , lets see where we are at end of August when we play among others Brighton, Leicester (both in play offs last season ) & Qpr among promotion favourites

Which if true is just more evidence as to how arrogant and out of touch he is, and how little he really cared about the club. He has basically admitted to misusing company funds.

Aye all I really gathered from his interview is that the stupid old fart is convinced he's done nothing wrong and will probably try to take legal action against GFH. But then he's always liked taking legal action against people, he just doesn't have a good record of actually winning in recent years...at least this time he will have to use his own money and not the club's to do it!

It also sounded like he didn't really have a clue what has been happening behind the scenes at the club for the last 6 months, so hard to draw any real conclusions about what's actually going on with the club's finances.

On the up side 26,000 already sold for Saturday we'll the " I won't go till Bates had gone brigade " now what excuse have they now on hAng on a minute

Bates has got a bloody cheek to spend 1/2 million on himself knowing the team need urgent strengthing. Thank god GFH have seen the light and got rid of him once and for all.

Yorkshire radio being taken off air as of 6pm today! Guess it was inevitable with the recent news that BBC Leeds would be able to do match commentaries again for the coming season but it still seems strange that it's happened with like 2 hours notice...

Buy back of ER is £15m apparently. At least 32,000 sold tomorrow, absolutely brilliant effort and a great 'up yours' to Bates. Most excited I've been for a season in a long, long time.

Great to see so much more positivity around the club in the last few weeks, with Bates gone it looks like the fans are flocking back to support the team and potential investors are lining up - just shows how detrimental his presence has been these last 8 years!

And to think he used to blame the fans for scaring investors off...
