Great to see so much more positivity around the club in the last few weeks, with Bates gone it looks like the fans are flocking back to support the team and potential investors are lining up - just shows how detrimental his presence has been these last 8 years!
And to think he used to blame the fans for scaring investors off... |

Only the East Stand Upper left said TSB/LUST on Twitter. A full Elland Road can create goals

Wasn't last attendance we had on an opening match at 30,000 against Derby County (30,459) in the season 2004/2005 which we won 1-0.
Only 1k left Brighton only sold 1,500 which if that's the case tbe capacity can't be 37,000 can it this is off os btw not waccoe |

Not having seen the last minute goal, I heard there was claims of handball in the lead up.
Yay or nay. I'm a Brighton fan btw and I don't necessarily expect an honest answer in this thread, but please try.

Great day today and the first for a long time where I've walked away ecstatic. I had to take 5 minutes after to sit down and catch my breath...something I haven't done (in joy anyway) for a while. Those moments are what football is all about. |

Didn't see it clearly enough from where I was sat but have heard similar on a Leeds forum I use. Still, if true, can't complain

Conceding late goals was Brighton's MO last season, Probably cost us automatic promotion. Not happy to see it continuing

Can't wait for a few beers tonight in the Peacock, first visit there in about 3 years.
My ticket only cost £5 (Restricted view) so at that price you can't complain at all. Think we'll grind out a win and put out a very young side, they won't be easy to face though. 2-1 Leeds. Hopefully see starts for Mowatt and Dawson, with older lads like Brown (who's a good influence apparently) around them they won't really have any pressure on them. Poleon should start also imo, was good on Saturday and I'd like to see more of him. Hopefully get to see what Smith is made of too. |

Don't think that was a bad point at all. Leicester has always been a bit of a bogey team but I felt we were evenly matched today. They came close near the end but we did well on the whole.
Defence did well on the whole and looked composed. Peltier struggles under pressure and nearly gifted them a goal in the second half. Warnock looks to be weaker under the diamond, he works best with a LM in front of him to overlap but seemed restricted today. Not bad though. Murphy was quiet and Green looked weaker than last week but still decent. Green was very much someone to move it from midfield to attack but I think he's best as a tidy upper. Austin was played how he's meant to be...a physical beast that nothing gets in the way of. Glad BM can see it. McCormack looked frustrated against their more physical players. Varney did really well imo, worked hard and certainly offered a presence, scared their defence in the first half. Hunt was quiet but their CB's were beasts in all fairness. A good point away from home and hopefully will shift up the ticket sales for Sheff Weds a bit, could do with a bumper crowd. |

Yep pretty happy with a point today, we looked a lot more organised than we did for most of last season and it was good to see that BMD had apparently thought about the team set up and tactics which is such a change from how Warnock used to set up teams away from home!
Just seemed to lack a bit of quality going forward but nothing new there! I thought Poleon and Smith both caused problems when they came on though so at least we have some different options now. |

According to the os ticket details for Newcastle are being released shortly rumours are we getting 7,800
Really can't see us selling that many for night match As I doubt they will go on general sale Apprentley some sites seem To think we getting Shane long on Loan when window opens some might think it far fetched but he worked under McDermott at reading and he grew up supporting leeds from late 90s and went to cl games Can't see it personally ![]() Hmm |

Unbelievably we have sold 6k tickets for a cup tie
Against a lower region premier league team Despite the fact that they lost at home to Hull and we only scored 2 goals in 3 games and lowest scorers in championship & believe Newcastle fans are having a protest Against Ashley due to lack of spending They should try putting up with No investment for 7 years against highest ticket prices in country then they Would have something to moan about |

Not pretty last night and nothing to get to excited about But win is a win no matter how albeit against 10 msn without regular keeper on
Still doesn't paper over cracks how average we are we need a goalscorer and quick |
