Bad news from the bbc football gossip site

"Sunderland manager Roy Keane has joined Arsenal in the race to sign Leeds' 17-year-old midfielder Fabian Delph for about £6m. (The Sun) "

Explains where the money comes from for the Elland Road redesign.

Leeds were beaten by a better side on the night on Tuesday. Yesterday they finally overcame the Cheltenham hoodoo, just.

Despite the Result We can take a lot of positives out of the defeat at Derby, we outplayed them on their own patch for 70 mins , or to quote Paul jewell absoulty battered them after the 20 mins every time they had ian dowie from Pride park it was all Leeds with Snodgrass, Beckford & Robinson going close ,
Really confident about the Season now, if we play like we did last night.

Outplayed them? We bloody destroyed them for 70 minutes even Jewell came on TV scratchin his head wondering how Derby got away with that!

Lots of threads about Delph, Snodgrass and the best signing ever Becchio etc on various RAM boards.

Thats before Derby supporters said its the best away support they have witnessed in a few years!

Very proud of the lads! - Just so unlucky with the result

Cant believe a game against Huddesfield is ko at 1215, i know its a local derby but there is no history of trouble and yet last year Millwall ko at 3 pm. as for coverage you have to go online as Sky pay very little attention to L1 Early kos
As for the game itself its gonna be tough thinkHudersfield will score but with the way we are attacking we should be ok but with Becchio, Becks Delph on song i really cant see us losing this, one but with the odds stacked againt Huddersfield no Manger, lost 3/4 at home in cup , after being 3/1 up , cant see it happening but this is Leeds so who knows ................................

Can't beleive we lost. We've got to start playing a lot better or we're going to be in the play-offs again.
I think we definately need to strengthen in January but I'm worried that Bates will cash in on our better players.

I agree 100%
with you on both those points.

Just seen the Huddersfield winner on the Championship ,
wtf was our defence doing for Fxcks sake 4 of them just standing there watching , if it was a great Goal i might not be so bitter, but just standing round watching is appaling
Unless changes are made, starting tomorrow night, then i feel the knives will be out for Macca, , not me atm, but if we dont get promoted this year team will be ripped apart with Becchio & Delph going for sure .
Can see us losing tomorrow as well.

Saw it in the Mirror as well, no quotes just gossip, not the slightest chance of it happening

Btw thought Macca was very brave to make 6 changes, inc, Delph & Becchio also thought Lucas was excellent in Goal
i doubt it will happen but would like to see the same team against Monkey Hangers on Saturday

Just why did Histon play in white today ?

The Leeds fans who visited Histon today were great, I hope you enjoyed your visit, I know you didn't like the result but hope you found us welcoming.
Sorry about the weather, and yes it is STILL pissing down!

Didnt go but well done to Histon, we (lufc) cant complain about the result , as although we had a lot of possesion
near the end we didnt really do much and 2 shots on target
didnt really deserve anything
Good luck against Swansea in next round

Histon deserved to win but the main point for me is that this is not a shock. We are a Third Division side and a mediocre one at that.

What is the priority? Why did we beat Northampton in the Cup and lose to them in the League?

Good luck to Histon vs Swansea in the New Year.
I'm actually quite glad we're out as we really need to concentrate on the league.
If we don't get out of Div 3 this year we're probably going to lose most of our even half-decent players

robinson out for a month not much to choose from now

my team for sat vs tranmere

lucas, richardson, marques, michalik, parker, hughes, douglas, kilkenny, snodgrass, showunmi, beechio.
subs: casper, telfer, sheehan, prutton, howson. no striker unless you put elliott in 1st team squad.

I think Telfer needs to be rested, Marques if he can get last season's form back is a better option and has a bit of pace. Also think Ben Parker deserves to keep his place. Enoch surely must play unless Macca goes with Snoddy up front again.

Don't mind being knocked out of the cup - Players didnt look up for it anyway and in any case we would have probably been knocked out next round anyway.

Fair play to Histon who deserve payday against Swans.

Couple of points tho -

1) ITV very close to calling match off in second half cause of rain. Pitch was dead on but supposidley if viewers at home has 3/4 screen impaired should be called off lol.

2) The Leeds fans that grabbed an ITV mic and started singing Itv ur fooking shite was comedy gold

3) The big naked guy in the changing room.

ITV gold yet again!
