Hi,

I was looking at the Orange Dolphin contract at 35 and noticed that they offer free unlimited browsing on this tariff now as well.

My question is, i have just signed up for the tariff using mobiles.co.uk and they have told me the tariff will not include the internet browsing but i dont think this is true as its not a specific orange promotion - its a change to the price plan. So when my phone arrives on Monday will i actually get unlimited browsing with it or not because my connection date for the Dolphin 35 package will be 18th July? To be honest, i don't quite believe they because they have even lied about when the order was sent!!

Thanks for your help,

Daniel

You'll get a cooling off period, so why not just phone them and cancel the order? Tell them why and they might include the internet option. If they won't then cancel anyway and go to Orange for the same tariff which includes the internet browsing?

They may well cave in and add it if you try and cancel, but if they don't just knock it on the head and go direct to Orange

Op , am i right in thinking there is a free gift , cash back or reduced line rental involved in the offer you have taken up

If so are they are been offered in lieu of the internet acess ?

Yes you are right about that. However, dial-aphone havethesame tariff, with the same phone, for the same cost with a free gift as well. I have also seen buymobilephones.net are doing the same as well. Ionly discovered these since i ordered!

Thanks.

Buy it from DAP then

Also consider the value of the free gift , is it exactly the same .

I would always say deduct this from the overall total of the contract to give you the bare monthly cost of the contract .

An example is one that I raised here in this thread

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/s...d.php?t=843962

Total cost is 12 months x £30 = £360 but with a free 32 inch Lcd tv supplied , worth £300 approx

Deduct the £300 from the £360 you would pay over the 12 month contract

And the free phone and mins are equal to £60 over the 12 month contract or only £ 5 per month for a basic phone and 300 mins , 200 texts

Hopefully you get the inclusive browsing on your contract

Good luck

Your Dolphin package will include the internet browsing regardless of where you purchased it, it's not a promotion specific to individual retailers, the tariffs changed on 1st July, all tariffs over £35 include unlimited internet browsing

Dolphin £35 only had off peak internet free for 2 months following signup, after that it's £5 a month. Dolphin £40 includes it as a standard part of the contract.

...unless you have been given some type of special deal, such as by retentions.

Hmm well not according to Orange and their website "Unlimited Monthly anytime mobile internet" for Dolphin 35 over 18 / 24 months. Plus on my bill it has no mention of mobile internet being limited to two months.

I'll phone them tomorrow and see what they say.

Website is correct as it reflects new tariffs from 1st July, it depends when you signed up or you could have been moved onto plan, it didn't exist before 1st July

If it helps i signed up before 1st July on an upgrade to Pather horse Donkey 20 whatever. It was 225 mins and 100 texts £20pm, and then I called up was told that it would automatically switch to the new one on the next bill date which gives me 300mins.

I also wanted to get internet so i managed to get them to give me the 250mb bundle which is £7.50. But theres a package for £30pm, which gives me free internet and i get 600mins unlimited texts. So if i pay £2.50 more i get all the extra mins and texts. Thing is i wont use so man mins/txt. So I hope but incredibly doubt orange will reduce the price of the data bundle.

I queried this with buymobilephones.net when purchasing my HTC diamond with free 16gb Ipod Touch.
No mention of unlimited browsing on dolphin 35, they confirmed with their orange rep that unlimited browsing has been included since July 1st.
