iPhone help time zone problem
jshort
20-07-2008
Hi,

Sorry if this has already been asked before….

I have an iPhone 3G which has decided to think that its time zone is “Cupertino” in the states. I’m sure it used to be London. This is now giving me grief with time stamps on emails, SMS etc.

Also my world clock is now completely out due to the change.

Anyone got any ideas how to change back to London? I keep selecting London, and then go back into Date & Time, but the time zone has gone back to Cupertino.

Thanks for reading

Cheers

Are you using MobileMe?

I found this was happening with my calendar on MM - I finally figured out that you have to go into your account and change the time settings in there.

Hi, Thanks for the reply, but no I'm not using MM.

I've read other threads and see that a restore might work. Half way thru one now (taking ages!) fingers crossed......

Hi, restore failed to change settings. I then finally registered the iPhone via iTunes store. Once I input my UK details, the phone now works in the correct time zone.

Hope that helps anyone who had the same issue.

Cheers
