you can get a 42" 1080p plasma from panasonic for that money.

but in answer to your question - that's very expensive for a budget tv. you can get much, much better for that money. look at sony, toshiba, samsung and philips lcd's

thanks, its just i was going to buy this telly off a friend for £ 300 with a £100 stand thrown in for free

well, for £300 i would think it's worth it. providing it's in full working order. make sure you road test it first.

the tv it self is not gonna win any awards but it's a functional lcd. it wont blow you away with it's performance and you'll only get it's best when utilizing it's HD capabilities. but as i said, £300 can't grumble at that.

you might want to ask your friend is selling it?

If you can still buy it new, its probably a dud. Otherwise he would have kept it a bit longer.

they are selling it because her dad has just died therefore she wants to move out of her house and back in with her mother and hasn't got room for the telly or stand, hence the cheap price.
