The Next "3" Handset???
Ok, a while back the massive NEC808 offer was posted on this forum. Well I ordered the phone from Mobile Republic and they sold out because the phone is'nt being produced anymore.
But they tell me for the same price their sending me the latest "3" handset, when it gets released. Anyone know what it is??? |

It might be the new Motorola A830. Check Three's web site for more information.
I would provide the direct link but it is on of those flash enabled sites where a direct link is impossible. Simon |

The Sony Ericsson Z1010 3G phone should be out fairly soon. It looks the pick of the bunch so far compared to other 3G phones.

Hopefully one you can make a voice call on without the call being dropped or getting network busy signals when there are only a few 3G users around!
Hutchison 3G is utterly unreliable for communiaction.... a good toy to play with (when it works) to show you what the next generation of mobile might be like but for now a bit of a joke! If you have a 3 phone be sure to have a PAYG on a GSM network to ensure you can communiacte with some certinty! |

Well that depends on which network you buy a PAYG phone on, as currently the '3' phones fall-back onto one of the 2G networks when they cannot connect to a native cell.Unfortunately I can't remember which, although I have a feeling it might be O2. Don't quote me though. |

The replacment to the NecE606 is the NEC e616, its a nice phone, smaller, better battery and also better handling between 2G and 3G calls. This is due for launch in the middle of October.
Also, two new Motorolas are avaliable now, although currently only from Three stores in Superdrug and stand alone Three stores, these are the A920, which is alot like the Orange PDA phone, (A800?) This can be got at £49.99 on the VideoTalk 500 package (£25.00 per month), this can be seen here: http://mobiles.co.uk/three-3g-motorola-a920-3.html and the new A835, which can be seen here: http://mobiles.co.uk/three-3g-motorola-a835-3.html I have both the Motorolas to train store staff, and they are both extreamly powerfull phones, although the A920 is fairly hard to get the hang of. |

Though there is a new Motorola handset out, I sent a e-mail to the store. And it seems it's the new NEC they will be sending me. I look forward to it then in October.
